Oster Original 3 Speed Chrome Blender, 6 Times more Durable Motor, 10 Times Stronger, 5 Cup Glass Jar

Such a great blender! Our daily use had discolored our previous blender with a plastic container. Using this Oster with the glass is so much better. The blade us excellent and the machine is QUIET! So happy with it and it looks beautiful on our countertop.

Great product, reliabe

Initial review: Power seems to be a prominent selling point, so I compared a few models on that basis as shown in the table. The silver 2025 is this item being reviewed, and the other two were purchased in person. The red model is the tried and true - exceptional under heavy loads for many years and rarely puts out a toxic burning smell even under heavy loads. The silver 2018 puts out a strong toxic smell that fills the room - I chose not to return it and use it for its blade and glass pitcher while keeping the motor as a back up if the main one breaks. All are Oster brand. One Oster (not in the table) was also a 450 Watt blender and that broke within two weeks after smelling toxic under the heavy loads I use. The silver 2018 perpetually smells toxic whether under load or not, and this new one smells only mildly toxic under the load of water, which is usual and I expect will dial back within the next month. The Box claimed 1,000 watts, the underside of the unit is stamped with 700 watts, and it draws 325 watts while churning water on high. The body is metal, and the design hygienic because it allows the drips from the gear area to splash down to the counter top in all directions. The red model I have hides that mess and channels it out the back side so I forget about it and it rots over time. While this one, the excess will spill out in all directions thereby notifying me of the mess so I remember to clean it. I suspect they allow the mess to go in all directions because there aren't any buttons in the front to protect anymore. The Oster metal tag can thankfully be removed by pulling off the front cap, then ever so slowly peeling the metal tag off. The tag is unhygienic because food would otherwise get trapped behind it and rot. So with that name plate gone and no buttons for food to drizzle into, this unit is a win for hygiene. The pitcher is only 5 cups and I'll use one of my other 6 cup pitchers I have from other units instead. If they could make a 7 cup glass pitcher, I'd go for that. Overall this one has a lot of promise out of the box and may actually be slightly stronger than ol' red.

My mom loves this blender. It's precise and perfect for my juices. Very good and durable.

I got this because I wanted a blender with a glass pitcher that is simple to operate and clean and is affordable. I've only used it probably 5 times or less and right out of the box it sounds kind of scary the way it blends. I am sure I put everything together correctly, as I researched online to be certain. The last time I used it, it had a burning rubber smell. It does blend decently, but I am kind of afraid to use it 🤷‍♀️

I've had a Vitamix for decades+. Due to health issues, I am removing toxins where possible. I am disappointed that Vitamix continues to raise the price for a non-toxic container, now at $250. This is prohibitive for most, especially for those with high medical costs. This type of exploitation and lack of concern about the health consequences of consumers leaves me to question the companies ethics. I bought this Oster with low expectations and it surprised me. It actually does a BETTER job than Vitamix for coffee blended with ghee/coconut oil due to the size. I also prefer it for my smoothies with frozen fruit. I wish I made this change years ago. Thank you Oster. Per other reviews, the black rubber feet are in fact an issue. My solution was to cut a cheap white plastic cutting board to put under the base and now I can move it on the counter without marking the white stone.

Worked well for 10 months then started making a loud, grinding noise. The blending was not as consistent. When I tried to use their online one year warranty claim. It kicked me out of the system three times and said error processing. No more Osters!

Funcional, gran calidad

I have waited 45 years to replace my original Oster Blender, which is sadly leaking a bit (but otherwise works!) This is a great blender! so happy I purchased finally Beautiful stream lined and vintage look. Easy to wash. I do not find the motor loud at all(some of the reviewers stated this)n and the blender is very powerful and easy to use I hope this lasts a long time!

Love this blender! So far (after 2 months use, 2-3 times/week) it’s been very good. I use it to make green juice in the morning and smoothies in the afternoon. Handles ice and veggies well, blends them smoothly with no chunks or large fibres, even with celery! I like that there are only a few speeds. I don’t need anything more than high and low. There is a bit of a burning motor smell but it seems to be dissipating. I love that the pitcher is glass. Easy to clean. It’s a bit smaller than my other blenders but it hasn’t been a problem so far. I can make 2 large smoothies in it.
