Poor Quality
I recently got my hands on the JETSPEC Jet Lighter, and itโs been quite the conversation starter. Here are my thoughts after putting it through its paces: **Design and Build Quality:** The JETSPEC Jet Lighter boasts a striking design with a cool red flame which lasts about a solid 0.2 seconds before burning out into a regular blue flame, and a mesmerizing gold dragon pattern The build quality feels flimsy and poorly made, which which leads to the gas tank of the lighter leaking after repeated use, great for a butane torch lighter meant for various uses like BBQs and lighting candles if you want a fireball in your face. It fits comfortably in hand and has a solid weight to it, but don't let this fool you. The materials used are cheap and will more than likely break after about a week of use, if you're lucky. **Performance:** In terms of performance, this lighter does not deliver on its promises. The jet flame while powerful and windproof, too heavy of winds cause the flame to go out. Iโve used it to light smokes and it does the job any lighter should do. The adjustable flame control is a handy feature, allowing you to tailor the intensity of the flame depending on your needs. Although the advertised "RED FLAME" quickly dissipates back to being a standard blue jet flame. After repeated use of testing this product, it would appear that after a short length of usage, the jet flame becomes less powerful overall. **Ease of Use:** Refilling the lighter with butane is straightforward, although it's worth noting that the butane fuel isnโt included, so make sure you have some on hand. The ignition is not smooth nor is it consistent, on first use it took two strikes to ignite, on the second use it took 13+ strikes to ignite. Yet on the second ignition, that red flame which was promised turned back into a regular blue flame. **Versatility:** Beyond BBQs and candles, Iโve found the JETSPEC Jet Lighter useful for various other tasks like lighting cigars and other such items you can smoke. Although I would not recommend it as a handy tool in the kitchen for caramelizing sugar on desserts, the butane fuel tank gets damaged after long use due to its components over heating and melting the plastic tank. Its versatility does not add to its value, every lighter in existence can do all of this, and if you're looking for an item to caramelize your sugar/desserts, then I would recommend a real kitchen blowtorch which would be much more appropriate and safe for that type of use. **Overall Impression:** Overall, the JETSPEC Jet Lighter stands out only for its eye-catching design, not for its reliable performance and versatility. As with my own experience and many other reviewers experiences, the signature 'RED FLAME' breaks and no longer shows up after a few seconds of the first use. If youโre in the market for a dependable butane torch lighter with a touch of flair, the JETSPEC Jet Lighter is definitely worth considering, but not worth spending your money on - In my opinion, it would be better to find a high quality jet lighter, which would be at a fraction of this lighters price.

Lovely to use.
A great little lighter. Looks better in the flesh than I was expecting from the pictures. The first time I filled it up, it did take me a while to get the right flow rate, and it did seem to run out very quickly, but once it was broken in and I had it sussed I had no further problems. Feels quite solid. Excellent value for money.

Meh
Although this lighter has a cool design, its performance isn't that great. It claims to be wind-proof and while it doesn't go out as easily as a regular lighter flame, it still does go out with a gust of wind. Nice design but definitely gimmicky.
