I appreciate that these are relatively inexpensive, and they fill a need that I didn't realize I had until I tried it. They are easy to use. You simply stick it in the door latch catch (on the car side), and you've now got something to hold on to while trying to get up into an SUV. This is a game changer for people with mobility issues. Although many cars have grab bars, this is the missing piece on the other side of the door to be able to use both hands for leverage. As an added feature, I believe the tip can also be used as a window breaker, in case of emergencies. It is a solid piece of metal, so I expect it to last me a lifetime. I noticed that, at least on our car, it can be inserted facing straight out or facing towards the front of the car. Use whichever way works best for you. In either position, it seems quite stable. The design is simple, and should work on pretty much any car. You don't need different sizes for different cars. It's small enough that you can keep it in a glovebox, center console, cupholder, or door pocket.

Must have for elderly or anyone needing assistance in & out of a vehicle ! JUST ONE REMINDER! DON’T make the mistake I’ve done and forget it in the door !! As to be expected the weight of the vehicle door broke this door handle device I know it was my fault so I tossed broken one out and ordered a new one NOW more mindful of removing it prior to slamming the door. My 94 yr old tiny mom has difficulty getting in & out of SUVs & trucks , due to the distance from the ground , this is a game changer for her to feel secure and independent as a passenger . I’ve used this for teens with leg injuries and friends that have had Surgeries & needed help getting in /out of vehicles for Dr visits/appts….so NOT JUST for ELDERLY May I suggest you chg the title … to sell more !!!!

These sit the best in the car door jam I've tried 3 other brands looking for a more comfy hand grip part (these are ok but the plastic is not the best for grip or comfort I take away one star for this) but they do sit nice n study in both directions n handles my dad's weight (he's a good sized man) n he leans heavily on this. I have also gifted one to my best friend n she also really likes how it sits in the door jam n handle feel is the only small complaint but so far they are holding up to daily use strength wise.

Works great & esy to use! Exactly as advertised! Very secure fit that provides balance and support! Bought it a gift for someone who needs it but is too stubborn to use it. Should have gotten an assisted living facitlity brochure for them instead.

I cannot get out of the car with it!

This little gadget has already prevented me from falling several times. It helps mobility impaired persons get into and out of a vehicle. I'm short to begin with, so getting into things like SUVs and trucks is difficult at best. Having issues with mobility makes it even harder. I just slio this little tool into the loop on the door frame, and it allows me to lever into the seat with much less effort. It makes it much safer to get into a vehicle with less assistance. This is the best $10 I've spent in a long time.

This item could use some improvement. I think if there was a protective covering that you can use maybe in a form of a bag or something it might be a little bit better. It does fit in the grooves, but sometimes it becomes loose would added pressure. Overall, I do believe it’s a safe product to use and it has been working.

I should have gotten these a long time ago. Compared to other products similar to these, I found these to be more stable and comfortable to hold on to. It should help my mom in getting out of the car. *Very important*…Don’t forget to remove this before closing the car door!

We have just bought a new car, and it is a little lower than our old one and my wife was struggling to exit the car. so I came across this very handy little tool i suppose you can call it a tool, that fits in the door lock when she opens the door and it gives her tremendous support in getting out. I think this is a simple but excellent Idea, and not expensive.

It is really very helpful for senior as well for Disabled people.
