This is a really good curler and I really like it. The buttons are in a really inconvenient spot and I keep pressing them when I’m trying to curl my hair but other than that the curls hold for a while and it’s great

I like this curling wand, it heats fast and curls like it should. My issue is that my finger inadvertently moves the temp dial as I use the wand, so I'm adjusting it back several times during a session. A locking or different mechanism, or different placement would make for a better product. Otherwise the wand is a good value for the money.

Although I have loved hot tools in the past, when my old faithful finally died, I didn't want to spend the money on a new one. I purchased this curling iron 6 months ago and use it almost daily. I have thinner hair and this clamp closes tightly enough to keep my hair from sliding out without creating creases. To create loose waves, start as close to the scalp as possible and wrap about 2/3 of your hair onto the iron. After several seconds, slowly release and slide down to the ends of your hair. This will create beachy or loose waves. I repeat this for all of my hair, let it set for 5 minutes, and then brush it out. Although it's not as high quality as a hot tool, for the price I've been really happy with the quality!

The on/off switch is in a spot where when using it you accidentally turn it off. Very annoying and frustrating.

Great curly Iron. I have been using it for 1 month. to be honest I had my doubts because we have to interchange the curling to the iron. Its really easy to use, and works perfectly. great accessories.

great curling iron , didn't damage my hair. good heat control and i didnt burn myself lol . it cools down quick too once you turn it off so if you need to take it somewhere after using it then you're good. works fast and didnt tangle or snag my hair. definitely a great curling iron for big curls.

I have waist length, slippery, fine, straight hair that does not like to hold a curl. I generally use a 1.5" curling WAND, but I really wanted loose waves and I found the wand (that tapers down to a smaller barrel) made the waves a bit too tight. So I thought this would be perfect since it doesn't taper and would probably make the perfect loose wave! I tried medium heat the first time, then high heat the next time, then max heat the 3rd time. Max heat definitely did the BEST, but still after letting my hair cool for 30 min then finger combing, my hair was completely straight basically. Photo attached of right after curling, vs 30 min later. What I *did* like is that it definitely lessened my frizz and my hair was nice and smooth. The little attached stand does a great job of keeping the hot iron elevated and from burning the countertop underneath it. The iron heated up quickly and evenly and seemed to be good quality.... but the end result is just too straight for me. Plus, after using the wand for so long I wasn't used to having the screws where the clamp is and I kept getting the screws caught on my hair as I was curling. That's my own user error though I'm sure.... Maybe if you have hair that holds a curl OR you're just looking to smooth your hair without making it quite as straight as a straightening iron, then this would be a good option. Otherwise, if you have slippery, fine, straight hair that you want to curl, you'll probably want to look into a wand instead. Hope this helps!

This curling iron is really nice, it heats up quickly and it has a comfortable grip and handle which makes it easy to add curly loose waves. All in all its what you expect from Conair, sturdy, functional and good pricing. The only dislike I have which is why I gave it a 4 star for easy to use is that the iron will only sit flat while on so make sure you have a silicone mat to protect your surface while it is hot. Hopefully Conair will add that little flip metal kick stand that most curling irons have for this purpose. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase.
