I have very little space on my counter so having this small "cubby" under my cabinet keeps the scale accessible while keeping it stored while not being used. I researched many under desk/cabinet shelves and settled upon this because it is made of metal and not plastic. It is quite sturdy and was very easy to install under my cabinet with four small screws. These came in a two-pack, so I used both. The second I use for recipe cards and kitchen utility shears. They are fairly unobtrusive and keep my kitchen scale handy but off the counter. The best part is these were no more expensive than the plastic ones that certainly are not as sturdy.
