I do not know the answer to that question. Our Sony TV is model number KDL-40W650D made in 2016. I do not have the users manual either.

Will this remote work with my Trinitron KV-35S45?

This Remote will work with all flat screen Sony tv's.

Will this work for Samsung TV?

I don't know. I bought it for a Sony TV and it works great.

Can this remote be set up to work as your cable remote?

It depends on your cable provider. You would need to see if its compatible.
