## Overview

The Demiwise Aquarium Filter Floss is a premium dual-density polyester filter pad measuring 12x72 inches, designed for versatile use in freshwater and saltwater tanks, ponds, and various filter types. Its two-layer design efficiently captures both large debris and fine particles, promoting crystal-clear water and a healthy aquatic environment. ## Description

Q: Is this filter floss safe for corals and shrimp?A: Yes. 100% glue-, fluorescence-, and chemical-free—formulated for sensitive marine life like corals, shrimp, anemones, and seahorses. No harmful additives.Q: Why is the filter floss so thin when I open the package?A: Vacuum-compressed for shipping (saves space/cost). Blow with a hair dryer for 30s to expand to full 1-inch thickness. No impact on filtration—restores density to boost performance.Q: Does this help reduce ammonia in my reef tank?A: Yes. Multi-layer design traps ammonia (NH₃) particles before they dissolve in water. Diagram shows NH₃ blocked from fish.Q: Can I use this in a canister filter?A: Yes. Cut to fit any filter (canister, HOB, sump, waterfall). Compatible with all major brands --including Fluval, Eheim, and AquaClear.

Review: Great quality filter pad! - Works really well for my aquarium. The dual density helps catch both fine and larger debris, and the water stays crystal clear. Easy to cut to size and fits perfectly in my filter. Good value for the price—will buy again!
Review: Good filter floss for custom aquarium filtration - I mainly use this in my HOB filters. What I usually do is cut two pieces to the size I need when setting up the filter. The bottom layer stays in place long term so beneficial bacteria can establish there. When the top layer gets dirty, I simply replace that one piece and leave the bottom layer untouched. This pad is easy to cut and dense enough to catch debris well. The size of the sheet is also nice because one piece lasts a long time if you are cutting it for different filters. It’s not some ultra-premium filter media, but for everyday filtration it works perfectly fine and does exactly what I need. 5 stars.
