Great Choice
It's identical to the Nutmeg State Nutrition Oatmeal (I imagine same parent company). I was 415 lbs. I'm currently 255 lbs all due to exercise and keeping a caloric deficit. No bariatric surgery or GLPs. I try to consume at least 1200-1300 calories a day, high protein, low fat/sugar/carb. This is a great meal to have every now and then but I cannot have it with water. I need some "flavah"! I use 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2-3 tbsp of Kodiak protein oats and a dash of Madagascar vanilla extract/bean. Delicious and still low calorie, low sugar, low carb and fat. Mix it with any substitute you want, be creative but makes sure those add-on options are low carb.

Very versatile for at home use at a much better bulk price thank packets.
If you use the oatmeal packets at home- this bulk container is much more cost-effective. The flavor, texture and taste of this product is exactly the same as the product I’ve ordered in packet form from a bariatric supplier.Downside- you’re supposed to use a ‘scoop and a half’ of the mix, but there is not a mark at the halfway point. You just have to eyeball it.+ On the other hand, if you are occasionally really hungry or maybe you only want a little snack— it’s very easy to adjust your serving size as desired. Every once in a while, especially when we get home late, I will quickly scoop out two full scoops for a decent portion of ‘oatmeal for dinner’.+ I like the ease of preparation in this brand. You just pour hot water over the powder, which allows you to adjust the thickness to your liking. It doesn’t tend to thicken much when sitting, either. I like to pour a smaller amount of hot water, mix, then pour in more water. This allows me to avoid powdery spots while not making it too runny. *Some brands have you mix the powder and water together THEN microwave, which doesn’t allow for adjustments in thickness- and they don’t cook evenly.Note- if you are new to this style of oatmeal, you WILL need to adjust your expectations when it comes to texture. The flavor, however, is spot on with ‘real’ oatmeal. My teen daughter even comments on how good it smells. I’ve tried other brands, and they all have similar textures. I find this one to be the least messy and easiest to prepare.

Filling and good amount of protein. Low carb.
Really easy to use. It takes a bit to mix it thoroughly, but I don’t mind. Tastes great. I have gluten issues but this doesn’t bother me and I stayed full. I love the low calories and the high protein and low carbs.

Great product
Cheapest way to purchase if not needing packets. Large canister works if only using at home.

More of a paste than an oatmeal
So the taste is fine, similar to a cinnamon oatmeal. The texture, however, is more like a clumpy paste. If you have reactions to odd textures, this might not be for you. The product is a very fine powder and that powder can get everywhere, especially on your clothes…or maybe I’m a bit sloppy! One of my biggest frustrations is the scoop. WHY make a scoop that is too small for one scoop to be a serving size? A scoop and a half!? Either give me a smaller scoop and say “2 scoops!” Or give me a larger scoop and make it 1 scoop for 1 serving. It’s that simple! Instead, I’m in the kitchen splitting the second scoop into what i hope is “half” a scoop. Dumb! BTW: 1.5 scoops is about 1/4 cup. So 1/4 cup powder and 1/2 cup of very hot water and you’ll have a tasty paste.
