It's worked great for preventing prickly heat on myself and son, and it's provided good protection for my fair-skinned husband who normally burns very quickly in the sun. I've not had any issues so far with the packaging, and the sunscreen itself is easy to spread and rub in, though it does leave a slight white cast on the skin which I think is typical of mineral sunscreens. It's definitely a lot more breathable on the skin that conventional high spf sunscreens, so it feels much nicer on the skin when out in the sun. It would have been great if it was water resistant for longer than 40 minutes, as that's not very long, and I think you'd need to reliably reapply this every 2 hours to reduce the risk of sunburn. But having said that it feels lovely and works well so I'll be using it exclusively over the summer. This sun cream is only available with SPF 30 for two reasons: 1) The difference between SPF 30 and SPF 50 is 1%. 2) To achieve SPF 50, additional UV filters have to be added which are less safe than zinc oxide. We have heard from many people with problematic skin that their skin does not react with breakouts but actually became more even after using our sunscreen, most likely due to the other skin-calming ingredients in our formula such as Zinc Oxide (antibacterial, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory) and Beeswax (rich in Vitamin A). These are the comedogenic ratings of the ingredients so that you can see for yourself, in the order of the list of ingredients, so starting with the ingredient that makes up the biggest share of the formula: Sunflower Seed Oil - comedogenic rating of 0 - 2. This means this is a non-comedogenic oil. Non-Nano Zinc Oxide - this is a powder, not an oil or butter, so it has no comedogenic rating. However Zinc Oxide is known for its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, it can help heal the skin and is known as an astringent, meaning that it helps to dry excess oil in the skin.
