I don't have a great frame of reference for toasters, but I can say this is one of the better ones I have owned. The whole thing is slightly heftier than a normal toaster but not by much which makes it feel study. The size is great, even leaves a little room to adjust the bread but doesn't leave gaps, plus I like being able to make four pieces at once rather than two. It looks fancier than a normal toaster which I do appreciate as well, so I would say five-star toaster all around.

Good little toaster. On 1st plug in and turning it on, 2 or 3 wires weren't glowing red and it smoked a little bit while it burned the coating off the wires. But after running it 3-4 times before putting anything in it, it heats up normally and does a great job. I like the size of the machine itself. It's not overly bulky. The dial for the 7 different cook settings cook toast and bagels quick and evenly. It's not some super flashy digital toaster but it works great

Sets very easy just a turn of the dial and your toast is golden brown or how you like it. Perfect size on my counter. Great quality, love the black finish.

Good value

This toaster did not perform well, bagels don't quite fit in. Belgium waffles have to be stuffed in and its uneven. One side toast on one side only. Would not purchase this model again.

I had a way more expensive brand (that I don't think I'm allowed to mention) for quite a few years now and I've always hated it because it took so incredibly long to cook the toast! It felt like forever before the toast popped up and then I would have to put it back down again!! It was also very difficult to push the toast down, which I'm assuming was the demise of that expensive toaster because the one side I used all the time would no longer stay down! I had a Proctor Silex for many many years when I was first starting out on my own (50 years ago!) and I never had a problem with it so I decided to give it a shot again and I'm very happy that I did! It's also MUCH smaller and compact so takes up less counter space then my last four slice toaster and is more attractive with it shiny black sides. You will not regret buying this toaster

This toaster is not only very attractive, it toasts perfectly, and quickly,unlike our old toaster oven. The settings provided are very effective. Highly recommended!
