This is functional necessary and needed a specialist. I travel for work frequently however, this new updated version continues to leak even after I’ve installed the tape around it. It is very handy and I like it, but if there’s a better way to keep the water from dripping out on the back that would be preferred

Almost a great item to have, however the float will not stay at adjusted location. The small adjustment screw allows you to set the float but water waves from swimming will push the float up. I have been struggling to find a way to lock it into position but it doesn't have a locking screw.

I got this in March 2026. I believe we had one prior that lasted a while, so I didn't hesitate. We run our pool all year and the old one broke because we had a temperature drop and forgot to pull it out and get it inside, so it froze. It's now August 1st, so I got 5 months at best from the new one, and frankly it has been persnickety for a while. When the kids swim (playing and making waves) it turns on. I understand that, but it never shut off at times. I played with the screw that adjusts the float, but now that is not quite working either. It just won't stop filling, so I babysit it and turn off the water supply once the pool is filled. Kind of defeats the purpose of an automatic filler... I should have gotten one season out of it. The price is decent but you get what you pay for. I would say it's not durable. I have no issue with weighing it down and the "installation" is quite simple.
