Pleasantly surprised with this! I’ve used a different brand that is more of a cream where this is more of a thinner, serum lotion. I didn’t have much hopes for this when I first squeezed it out of the bottle. You do not see it go on your face like you would a cream, but you do immediately see the color correction happen. I do not break out with this on my face, and it does add a little extra sun kissed glow under my makeup. Not color, just a brightness if that makes sense.

The texture is silky and lightweight. It glides on without feeling greasy and gives the skin that soft focus feel that helps foundation apply smoother. It works especially well on combination or sensitive skin because it does not cling to dry spots or highlight texture. It creates a calm base that lets your makeup sit more evenly. In terms of performance, it does cut down on redness, especially around the nose, cheeks and chin. It will not completely erase intense redness on its own but it definitely boosts your makeup routine by reducing how much foundation or concealer you need to even things out. Longevity is solid for the price. Your makeup holds better throughout the day and the primer helps prevent that mid day fading around the areas where redness usually pops through. Overall, this is a reliable and budget friendly primer that gives real tone correcting benefits without the heavy feel. I've used this e.l.f. primer in the green version for quite a while. It's a great inexpensive alternative to the green primer that Smashbox makes, which is my preferred primer. But the e.l.f. version costs around $6, while Smashbox ranges from $30-40. So this is a great bargain version that works almost as well. I have extremely sensitive skin and rosacea, and this product works great without irritating my skin. The green tint is not as strong as the Smashbox, but it does seem to help a little bit with the redness. But most importantly, it feels great going on and works to keep my makeup in place all day and help me use less foundation. It also keeps the foundation from settling into my pores and fine lines. It feels great once it's on the skin, giving you a nice smooth, silky feel to the skin. The pump bottle is nice, but you do miss out on product with the pump. The bottle is also deceiving as to the amount of product, as the actual product fills a smaller cavity inside the bottle. However, at this price point, that's really not much of a concern to me. Overall, this is a great primer and I've used it quite a while with great results for my dry, sensitive, red skin. While I prefer the more expensive primers, this one is a very good substitute that's way more budget-friendly.

I love this face primer!! I started using e.l.f. products a few years ago, and they can sometimes be hit or miss. I tried several other brands of primers over the years and never really found one that I was willing to settle on-- until I tried this e.l.f. mineral primer. The green color (which looks clear when you apply it to your face) does a surprisingly good job at neutralizing some of the redness I have on my face. The texture is very silky (but not oily at all), and it goes on very smoothly and easily. After applying this primer, my foundation goes on much more evenly than if I had applied it to my bare face (or even over most of the other primers I've tried). My skin is somewhat sensitive, but I've had no issues with this primer. The pump works easily every time without any malfunctions. The bottom of the bottle is clear and has an inner piece that the primer touches/sits on; as you use the primer, this inside piece slowly moves upward towards the top of the bottle, giving you an indicator of how much is left in the bottle. The pump also screws off, which is very convenient because when I get to the end of the bottle, I can unscrew the top and use a q-tip to get the last few drops out (I hate wasting things!) The primer has no scent, and you only need to use a small amount to cover your entire face. Even better, this primer is actually cheaper on Amazon than it is on the e.l.f. cosmetics website!! (They sell it for $6 per bottle). This primer also comes is 3 different colors: green (to minimize redness), lavender (to neutralize yellow tones), and clear/shimmer (to brighten dark spots).

Just hit 50 years this year. My makeup skills are somewhat similar to a pre-teen just learning or too much like a rodeo clown. LOL I never truly learned how to apply make up and when someone does it for me, it is just a bit too cakey for me. Now add in some fine lines and sun exposure and my bare face is just not as youthful anymore. I have tried other primers and they worked ok, but I truly love this. I had been an avid AVON simply for the fact that fragrances in other lines were just too much. I have now slowly switched everything over to e.l.f. products. This one goes on great, has a silky not oily feel and it doesn't feel dry on my face. I know at this age I need all the moisture I can get and this one does keep it hydrated. Big fan for sure.

Great product. I love ELF's range. I am fairly new to makeup; I started suffering from adult acne aged 30 so wanted to cover it up without angering it. Since then I've delved into actually wearing makeup. This product glides on, a little goes a long way. The packaging is deceiving, you think you are getting a lot more product than you do, but like I say, you only need a little. It's kind on my skin, helps my makeup to stay put, and keeps my skin clear and easy to cleanse.

Embarrassed to say this is the first time I've used a primer in all the years I've been wearing makeup! So imagine my shock when I use this beautiful product and the difference it made! I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to not using a primer. The primer itself on its own was fantastic at evening out my skin tone and my pores vanished from site! The product itself feels very light and smooth almost silky without being oily if that makes any sense. I give this product 10 out of 10 and will absolutely be buying it again.
