UGREEN USB 3.0 Hub Ethernet Adapter, with 3 USB 3.0 Ports Hub 1000Mbps

Works flawlessly! My Firestick 4k model number E9L29Y runs on fire OS so the sticks drive will read data from ASIX AX88179 chipset UGREEN OTG automatically since both chipsets from each device is built on LINUX. I have this plugged into a Y micro OTG on to my Firestick simple plug and play. My device is an older model 4K/Wi-Fi 5 but the speed that it’s giving me using Ethernet is good enough and better than other brands that only gives out 10/100 mbps and plus multiple usb external drive slots for extra memory if you like. I got this so I can stream sports or movies with sideload apps without any interruptions from WiFi interferences. Speed tests shown in picture for both Ethernet and WiFi👍

I just bought one of these the other day for my fire stick I noticed no buffering and it's fast one tip you can use this on a WiFi extender as well so you can hook it up in your room for a adapter WiFi extender and the Ethernet cable it going to cost at least 60 or 70 all together but it definitely worth it I noticed a big difference of course you don't have to buy it all at once either and if you notice you are only getting 50 gbs or more or little less than your original Internet speed don't throw it away it's going to work better it's basically pulling all that speed you are getting from your wifi extender or router and putting in your fire stick at once God Bless Everyone In Jesus Name Amen

The hub worked great and all while I was using it without external power. Very convenient for a Surface Pro, allowing me to use wired ethernet and still use some USB 3.0 ports for mice, keyboards, etc. The hub does have a power port for 5V 2A power. Be warned though, DO NOT plug in anything over 5V 2A into that port... My idiot self decided to plug a more powerful one into it and, suddenly the hub ceased to function and had a weird burning plastic smell to it, and no longer functioned. Doh! Well that one was my fault. At least none of the USB devices that were plugged into it at the time suffered any damage. The only reason I'm docking it a star is because for some reason no ethernet cable I used would snap into the port. They would connect and function, but would easily fall out with the slightest bump. It did this for every RJ45-terminated cable I tried, from multiple manufacturers. I'll likely be buying UGREEN's updated version, with USB-C power, to replace it, but this hub did serve me very well before I fried it out of an act of ignorance.

Does not work out of the box. You must first install the driver that comes with the device on a mini cd (try that on a new MacBook Air with no cd device). Even after you install their driver, the RG 45 will work but the USB 3.0 ports do not work. Amazon should remove MacBook Air from their list of devices that it is compatible with and specifically say that it does NOT work with this laptop. 6/26/2018 uGreen reached out to me and sent a second hub to try. USB 3 ports and the internet is now working. It didn't work right away and I experienced yet another external drive corruption. However, I am now suspicious that the APFS file format on my three powered external drives is suspect. I have since erased them and returned them to the old Mac format (HFS journaled). So far, so good. Time will tell. If this does prove to be the case, Apple needs to realize that their new APFS file format doesn't play well with external drives with the same format. Topping the anguish off, since Disk Warrior 5.1 is the only software for Mac that can rebuild a drive directory, at this time they have yet to update their software and thus cannot rebuild a corrupted APFS drive. So reformat and lose all your data is the only option left if you want to use that nice 5tb Seagate drive you just bought.

This is working great on my Fire TV 4K Max. It seems to be the only one that supports Gigabit on the Fire TV. Speed tests show around 333Mbit down. A bit under the max of 480 I have, but could be hardware limitation. Not too different than on WiFi 5, but more reliable. I also have a USB drive for storage, and IR adapter so I don't have to use the tiny, slippery, Alexa remote. Update May 2024: Bought another one for a Walmart Onn 4K Pro Google TV box. The built in Ethernet is only 100Mbit. Did speed test over 360. And the hub makes it easier to expand in the future.

May cost a few dollars more but let me assure you that its worth it. #1. True plug and play compatibility. 10 sec after i plugged this into my usb port on my laptop, it showed up as a Realtek Gigabit FE device. A quick launch of the Speedtest app and it was smooth sailing at 947Mbs which is very consistent for Gigabit connections. #2. The majority of these USB Gigabit adapters sold are made of an Aluminum or similar housing. You wouldnt think that to be a problem... YOU ARE WRONG! Whether using this on the go, or at home to replace a failing or outdated ethernet port, you will learn one thing. METAL DEVICES PLUGGED INTO USB PORTS GET HOT!! You wont get 3rd degree burns or anything, but you will definitely say OUCH a few times. Not here.. never hot, not once. End analysis ?? A++ worth the few extra dollars for a convenient and durable product!

I just received it 15 minutes ago and have already tested it on two of my systems. One is a MS Surface Pro 4 Win10 tablet and the second is my aging Win7 workstation. No fuss, no muss, just plugged it in on the tablet and connected an Ethernet cable and tested. Have FIOS with 50/50GB speeds and got every bit of that speed during download and upload tests. Nice to purchase a product that "just works" as advertised. When I work on tablets, usually all you have is one USB port and you need an adapter like this to connect multiple devices such as a keyboard, mouse, a CD/DVD player or USB stick with software to perform repairs. Some devices will need additional power such as a USB storage drive and this has a 5 VDC plug that I can connect a 5 VDC power adapter to supply the extra current. I have a number of those lying around so I didn't need to purchase the optional power supply. It comes with a small CD with drivers for various operating systems plus their web site has all the latest drivers for download. I didn't need to use either. Both of my systems simply automatically installed the driver and in a few seconds it was working.

This device is for advanced users that have knowledge in adding a USB Drive and/or and Ethernet connection to a Fire Stick. Like most other similar products you will need a Micro USB OTG Y Cable to get it to work, sold separately. PROS: IT ADDS 3 USB PORTS AND AN ETHERNET CONNECTION TO A FIRE STICK 4K. I did not test it on the lower end models, I don't have any. USB 3.0 ports Adding USB Flash Drives work (with some little issues) Wireless USB Keyboard Remote Controls with the USB paired adapter work very good. Glossy Black plastic material with blue lights, it looks nice, the plastic does not seem to over heat. CONS: Run on 2 different speed testers Apps, Aniliti Speed Test and Internet Speed Test. Tested DOWNLOAD speeds only. Aniliti showed the WiFi well above at about 40 points higher than the Ethernet connection while Internet Speed Test resulted in the Ethernet at about 10 points higher than WiFi connection. Combined the Ethernet connection speeds averaged about 320 on my 400mbps service Combined the WiFi Connection speeds averaged about 340. Not good is it?. Connection speeds are a bit unstable with about a +-20 point different on random runs. There is a opening for a 5v power cable however it is not provided. Not really sure what is for. All 3 USB ports can take 1 to 5 inserts to recognize USB Flash Drives, tested 3. It can get annoying, over time possibly harming the Flash Drives or this Device who knows. CONCLUSION: Not much of a difference in Ethernet speed, in fact maybe worst as explained above. Can be an alternative if you want to avoid putting in WiFi user names and passwords. This one is going back, the fact that adding a USB Flash drive can take multiple inserts on all 3 ports is a deal breaker for me. This device gets 3 starts from me. I can not give this a 1 star because the seller made it clear it is does not work for Fire Sticks but then again it sure did for me with the extra OTG Y Cable I bought separately. I hope this post helps with the debate for all the questions on whether this device works for a Fire Stick or not, FIRE STICK 4K YES.

Nickel. Je m'en sers pour connecter ma mibox s en ethernet. Le débit n'est pas vraiment meilleur qu'en wifi mais il est plus stable. Le plus, ce sont les ports USB qui permettent de transférer un fichier ou de connecter un disque dur à la mi box sans déconnecter l'Ethernet. Très bon produit que je recommande

For the price this is fantastic. I wanted a dock for my Surface Pro 6, but the official Microsoft Surface Dock is exhorbitantly priced. Now, this isn't a dock (it doesn't charge the laptop) and it doesn't output to dual monitors. But it gives me 3 x USB ports and a gigabit ethernet port and is extremely small, light and portable. I got 20mbps downlaod speed though the Ethernet which is the top speed of my internet connection. Note that it does not come a 5V DC adapter for pass through USB charging, you will need to get one if you want to use the available port.

I portatili di oggi sono sempre più avidi di porte e bisogna sempre più spesso ricorrere ad adattatori e porte aggiuntive. Ho un Microsoft Surface di un paio d’anni fa che ho deciso di riconvertire a portatile/PC casalingo segregato in un cassetto e sempre acceso. Oltre a questo ho anche un paio di Hard Disk auto alimentati di grossa capacità. Avevo quindi bisogno di un adattatori di tre porte USB 3 e connettore di rete. Dopo varie ricerche ho trovato questo che, oltre alle specifiche, ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Arrivato con un paio di giorni di ritardo (causa emergenza Covid). Cassa di plastica nero lucido (tutto sommato di buona qualità). Ha il connettore per alimentarlo tramite alimentatore esterno ma non era presente nella scatola (viene comunque detto nella scheda tecnica). Tranquilli, se cercate in casa (come ho fatto io) tra tutti gli alimentatori accumulati in questi anni sicuramente ne trovate uno che va a pennello. Ovviamente l’alimentazione esterna è richiesta se decidete di occupare tutte e tre le porte USB con Hard Disk non auto alimentati e di grosse dimensioni. Diciamo che tre chiavette le tiene tranquillamente. Il trasnfer/rate è buono e in linea con gli standard USB3 e il connettore di rete è a Gigabit (anche questo fa il suo dovere). All’interno della scatola troverete anche un mini cd con i driver se avete sistemi operativi vecchi ma direi che Mac e windows (dal 7 in su) non serve. E’ circa un mese che lo sto usando senza problemi. Considerate che il portatile è collegato in rete e ci faccio streaming verso il televisore per i film. I film risiedono su degli hard disk esterni collegati. 5 stelle perché sono decisamente soddisfatto dell’acquisto

... absolut unverzichtbar und empfehlenswert. Wer aus seinem Firestick 4 KMax mehr herausholen will, der ist mit diesem USB-Hub bestens bedient und hat das Teil der Wahl. Neben einem Ethernet-Port zum Anschluß für I-Net per Netzwerkkabel und somit 1 Gigabit-Transferraten, hat der USB-Hub 3 weitere USB 3 A - Anschlüsse. Somit ist einerseits der Anschluß des Firestick 4 K Max, ein Transponder für eine Funkmaus oder - tastatur, sowie ein externer Speicher (hier max 2 TB!), der sowohl als interner oder externer Speicher eingerichtet werden kann, möglich. Beachte - vorher den Speicher als FAT 32 formatieten. Ob adb shell Befehle zur teilweisen Partitionierung funktionieren habe ich bis jetzt nicht getestet; dies wird in den nächsten Tagen getestet. Sinnvollerweise hat der USB-Hub auch eine eigene Stromversorgung, so dass die Funktionalität stets gewährleistet ist. Bei mir ist die Stromversorgung instslliert, was ich bei Belegung aller Anschlüsse auch empfehle. Fazit: ein kostengünstiger, qualitativ hochwertiger, zuverlässiger und kompatibler USB-Hub, der bezogen auf die Verwendung mit dem Firestick 4 K Max, die Funktionalität enorm steigert und die Performance sehr steigert. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
