I'm not too savvy when it comes to taking electronics apart and putting them back together, so this was rather difficult for me to install. I used the video "Nintendo DS lite Repair - Housing Replacement | Memories in 8Bit" on YouTube to help me out. One big issue I encountered was my touch screen flickering a lot. I fixed this with the help of the video "DS Touch Screen Flicker Solution" by PowerUpGamingCanada.Unfortunately, the replacement case kit I received was incomplete. It's missing the "A" button, and a screw opening for the battery cover. Another problem with the kit was that the mold I got was kind of loose in two screw openings --- it makes me feel a bit uneasy because I can't really tell if it the screws can fall off, and the bottom right of the select button is a bit loose. Screws were provided, but there are no instructions on where they go -- some screws I got didn't match the ones on my DS Lite, and the mold used different screws in some areas than in my original DS's case. I had to go through trial and error to figure out where some screws belong. Despite all this, I'm liking the end result for the most part. I guess I can give a 4/5.But I will warn any potential buyers: only buy if you think it's worth replacing your DS Lite's shell, and are willing to face a few problems along the way. I'll show the end result of my DS Lite in the pictures below. Take note that I used my original DS Lite's black buttons because the kit I received was missing a transparent "A" button. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It's obviously cheap, but it does work. *by E***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2019* The DS Lite is rather a pain to deal with, even if you've disassembled/repaired other phones and electronics. The ribbon cable going through the hinge is cancerous. Be careful. Only do this if your case is severely broken or the broken hinge is too much to deal with.This case is okay - it's cheap, which means it's probably worth it. but be prepared for buttons with off kilter labels, missing parts, and the occasional fitting with an x-acto knife. The most annoying part of mine was that I got the whole thing assembled, and realized that the replacement case did not have the small metal nut integrated into the body that allows the battery cover to screw in. So mine's held on with tape.The clear case is truly clear (not tinted blue like the GBAs or in the amazon pictures). It looks good, but feels a good step in plastic quality below that of the factory case.I'm about 99% certain I put the right tri-wing screws back in place to hold the back of the bottom section in place with the front of the bottom section - but the screws went through the body and pushed up on the front panel of the bottom section (See green circles in 'open' picture). There are a couple things that don't line up, and given the several revisions of the DSLite this shouldn't be too much of a surprise. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Challenging installation but looks great! *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2018* Looks great! It is not the easiest assembly but if you are somewhat technically inclined, it takes about an hour total to disassemble and reassemble a DSL with a third party shell.I bought 2 but the buttons were printed crooked on one set so I returned it.
