Review: A Simple but Powerful Mindset Shift - The Let Them Theory offers a surprisingly simple concept that can have a big impact on everyday life. The central idea is that we spend too much energy trying to control what other people think, say, or do, and that true peace comes from letting others make their own choices while focusing on our own actions and reactions. The book is easy to read, highly relatable, and filled with real-world examples that make the message practical rather than just motivational. I found myself reflecting on relationships, work situations, and daily frustrations in a new way. The advice is straightforward, actionable, and easy to remember when challenges arise. Pros: -Simple concept that's easy to understand and apply -Encourages healthier boundaries and less stress -Relatable examples and practical advice -Motivating without feeling overly preachy -Helpful for personal and professional relationships Cons: -Repeats the core message throughout the book -Some ideas may feel familiar to readers of self-help books -Not every example will resonate with every reader Overall: This is an inspiring and thought-provoking book that offers a practical tool for reducing stress and focusing on what you can actually control. If you're looking for a mindset shift that promotes greater peace, confidence, and emotional well-being, The Let Them Theory is well worth the read. Review: A Great Listen With So Many Takeaways - A Great Listen With So Many Takeaways I really enjoyed The Let Them Theory. This audiobook had so much great insight and honestly gave me clarity on a few things in my own life. There were definitely moments that made me stop and think, “Okay, that makes sense.” I listened to it during my commute to work and on my way home, and I found myself looking forward to picking up where I left off. I really enjoyed Mel Robbins’ perspective, especially the idea of letting people be who they are instead of exhausting yourself trying to control their choices or reactions. It was relatable, easy to listen to, and gave me quite a few things to think about and apply to my own life. Definitely worth the listen!

I say read it then write your own review
I enjoyed the read. " Let them " it's seems so easy. You do you " me" and let them do them. Easy. I felt as an adult most of us already have adjusted passed the emotional baggage of others. Not 100 because no one can say they never get caught on a snag time to time. Especially driving in traffic or standing in line behind adult kindergartners but for the most part you just let it go before it causes any reflux. The book does lay it out and simplifies it by using her life experiences while adding contexts of professionals outlooks and numbers. I gave it a four out of five because I kept reading it while always thinking I get it but it's a person to person awareness. I will always have to be the bigger person and except that the problem may be them but I'm going to let them be the problem but I will just adjust my way and let them continue to be the unconscious fool they are or until they see for themselves how unruly and trivial they truly are. I think personally it's like wearing a mask. For it to actually work everyone needs to wear it. Best thing about this book was the title itself. "Let them " because when you realize you can't control anyone other than yourself you can mentally process that it's okay for you to just be yourself and forget about the rest. Nothing changes if nothing is changed.

One of the best self-help books I’ve read
Finally read “Let Them”, why I kept putting off is beyond me. Have been following Mel Robbins on FB for quite sometime, fell in love with her inspiring words. As soon as she came out with this book, I immediately bought it. Best purchase I’ve bought for myself in a long time. “Aha” moment on every single page, insightful and thrilling experience, the material is highly engaging, deeply challenges your perspective, and connects the dots in a way that just makes sense. Lindsey Powers note; “So simple, yet revolutionary. I can't stop thinking about the two words that Mel Robbins shows us will change our lives”. So true. Magnificent, powerful read. Wish was written 45 years ago. Everyone needs this book!!

I can't stop saying let them
Mel Robbins has done it again. And to start this I will say I am a big Mel fan. I have read her other books and audibles, my favorite is Take Control of your life. So I'm a longterm fan I also listen to her podcat. With that in mind my expectations were high for Let Them especially because Mel said it's the best thing she's created and OPrah gave it really high praise. I had oredered the book but it didn't come yet so I got the kindle version here to start reading it, I can't wait for my phsical book too but I didn't want to wait because I wanted to read it, now that i'm done I'm going to get the audiobook too. Okay - so you are probably wondering, if I heard the podcast on it, do I still need this? The answer is YES. i just love the book. It covers so much. Way more thna I was expecting? The big reveal of let them AND let me makes this so deep and it covers so many different parts of your life you can use it. Yes you can get 'say let them" after a chapter but Mel takes the theory into so many siotuations and shares so much research and ways to use it, I kept learning so much. My favorite is the sections about family. I was with my family over the holidays and could not stop saying LET THEM. I told everyone to let them. I told evertyone about this book! They may be sick of me saying let them... to that I say let them. My favorite section of the book though is the part about INFLUENCE. So I say let them, now what? I don't like how they act that's it? NOPE Mel says you need to use your influence to make your relationships better. I love hjow in a world where people are so quick to cut people off, leave them behind, think you're better without [eople, let them is about bringing you TOGETHER with people. It's such a needed messave in our divided world. I am already using the ABCD loop with people I know. The other sections I liked the most: dating section (was sharing tips with my brother who is currently looking to meet someone) and who you use let them there, FRIENDSHIP section, Mel I really needed that, the comparison section is so important, and most of all I love the part about how to help loves ones who are struggling. the entire book offers such a compassionate, approch that feels so loving to both others and yourself. I thogut after following Mel for so long, I didn't know if I would learn anything new, but I learned SO MUCH. What didn't I like about it? Well honestly not much. I do wish there was more on parenting in the book, but what's cool is Mel has a bonus section in the book with a full extra chapter you can download about parenting, which I already read and that is really good, but I wish there was even more content there. but overall I just loved this book. It's given me so much to think about and work on in 2025. I also want my husband to read this, now that I read the ebook I'll give him my printbook when that arrives. Overall this was a great read and I am really glad I took the time to read it.

One good piece of advice filled with much humble bragging
I was recommended this self-help book and gave it an honest try. The core idea which is basically worrying about yourself and not others and their behaviour is good advice and sometimes reading something like this can be a good refresher to bring it to the front of your mind. However, the one thing that really annoys me with this book is the constant humble bragging. Filled with pages of shoehorning in people she met at TED talks, podcasts, and wherever else. It gets old quickly. I got about 1/3 of the way through the book, got the message, and gave the book away. I know Mel is going to "let them" on me, but Mel you really ought to think about dialing down the humble bragging. It's great that your career has taken off, but gee whiz.

**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Simple Concept That Can Really Change Your Perspective**
The Let Them Theoryis one of those books that makes you stop and think about how much energy you spend worrying about other people’s choices, opinions, and actions. The idea of simply letting people be who they are instead of constantly trying to control or change them is simple, but surprisingly powerful. What I enjoyed most is how relatable the examples are. It made me reflect on situations where I’ve overthought things, tried to make people understand my perspective, or allowed someone else’s behavior to affect my peace. The book is easy to read and the message is something you can actually apply to everyday life. It reminded me that I can’t control how other people act, but I can control how I respond and where I choose to put my energy. Definitely a worthwhile read if you’re working on personal growth, boundaries, and protecting your peace. I found myself highlighting several parts and going back to certain ideas after finishing them. I would definitely recommend this book.

Empowering Concept, Practical—but a Bit Repetitive
The Let Them Theory offers a simple but powerful mindset shift: stop expending energy trying to control or manage other people’s opinions and behaviors, and instead focus on what you can control—your reactions, goals, and priorities. I appreciated the core message—“Let Them” paired with “Let Me”—which helps you let go of stress about others while reclaiming your own energy. It’s a refreshing reminder if you tend to people-please or give too much weight to what others think. The book is filled with clear examples, real-life stories, and practical reflection points, which make the theory easier to internalize. That said, the content can feel repetitive at times—many chapters circle back to the same point, so you might feel like you’ve read the key idea after the first few sections. A few readers online even joked you could fit the concept on a sticky note! But if repetition helps reinforce mindset changes for you, this style might actually be a strength. Overall, this book is a solid choice if you’re new to personal-development books or want a motivational boost to focus more on your life and less on others’ expectations. If you’re very familiar with self-help concepts already, you might find the insights familiar—but many readers still find value in the gentle reminders and practical applications
