They are effective, if you have the right thickness and manage to stick them in the right place inside your shoe. That usually is not very easy.This product gives you the flexibility of slipping it on real easy, sliding it around your foot (as required for the perfect position). The elastic is not too tight or too loose (my shoe size is 7). But keeping it on all day (even over socks) is not very comfortable (to me)It seems to be lasting alright (~4 weeks of use). Do note, the support pad (as you see in the picture) covers the foot arch and a little more. It works well for me.I would recommend you to try it.
