I recently purchased the 8.0 cuft large heavy-duty home safe, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The size is perfect for securing all my important documents, valuables, and even a few larger, personal items. The very spacious interior allows for organized storage, and I appreciate the adjustable shelves, which make it easy to customize the space to fit my needs. One of the standout features of this safe is its mindful construction - It’s solid and well-built. The combination of the fireproof and waterproof features is a huge plus. The included fireproof and waterproof bag is a very thoughtful addition, offering an extra layer of protection for especially sensitive documents. I also found the locking mechanism to be smooth and secure, and the digital keypad is easy to use, with the added benefit of a backup key in case of emergency. Installation was straightforward, though given its weight, it’s definitely a two-person job to move it into place. Once installed, it’s incredibly sturdy and would be very difficult for anyone to move without serious effort. Overall, I highly recommend this safe to anyone looking for a large, secure, and reliable option for home use. It offers excellent value for the price, and I feel much more secure knowing my valuables are protected.

This is the nicest safe for the money hands down. I looked at numerous safes and this was without a doubt the best safe. Combo and key lock is a main feature for me. Some were key only. Also this safe was bigger than most for the money. Compared to some it was double the size. Very easy to use and operate and instructions are simple and basic. Love the fact that the key feature is hidden behind the key pad. I like the way the shelves go in and out and can move to fit whatever you are storing. Also very lightweight but not cheap lightweight safe like some others. If I ever need another safe I wouldn’t hesitate and would totally buy another one just like this. Also Comes with lag bolts to mount to a wall if you choose. Others in past I have had didn’t have that although I didn’t use em, still nice for people that do. 5 stars all the way! THANK YOU!!!

Just the right size , looks good ,just what I wanted,roomy,was hard to get aquainted with would order again if needed.

Overall, this is a great value safe. It was easy to use and had little assembly required. It works exactly as expected. I didn’t give it five stars because the knob feels cheap and not super sturdy, but the sage itself felt higher quality. It also has a great amount of storage inside and was easy to lock up.

Perfect to keep money around the office and valuables. Easy to set up and I like that you get both a key and a combination. It’s not super heavy and it fits nicely in desk drawers

The safe comes with maybe the worst instructions that I have ever seen, and I have seen some bad ones. At times, the instructions were also entertaining, as when they said to “keep it uncock” (that is not a typo on my end). To initially open the safe, one needs to use a key. But, one has to open a tab to reveal the key slot. This was quite difficult to open. I finally managed to do so with the aid of a small flat head screwdriver. It comes with an external battery box, but the instructions do not tell you what it is for. It turns out it is for emergencies if the regular safe batteries fail. The instructions also do not say how to use the external box (there is a female slot underneath the numbers pad that one attached it to). I eventually discovered that there is also an internal battery box with a cheap plastic door that is very difficult to open. It is supposed to slide open, but mine did not and while fooling around with it, it popped off. For the uninitiated, it was not obvious that there was an internal battery box as it was so hard to open. Because the internal box was so hard to open, initially I did not think I was supposed to. So, when the instructions said to insert 4 batteries "into the battery box” (it did not explain anything beyond that), I naturally assumed that meant what I now know is the external box. After doing some online research, I figured things out. Confusingly, there are instructions to “set user code” and “set the master code.” The latter apparently is superfluous. It is obviously a cheap design, though for the price, maybe that is all I could expect. I do like the size. I did not want to drill holes in the wall, so I put some weights I am not using into the safe to make it hopefully too heavy for a thief to carry. I am told, most thieves are in and out in 15 minutes, looking for opportunity theft. With the additional weight, the safe should protect me from them. But if the thief is a pro, forgetaboutit, with or without the weight or attaching it to the wall. I have no doubt a pro can crack a cheap safe like this one. Follow-up: The battery system failed. I have tried multiple replacement batteries, all to no avail. Key still works, of course. It is not worth the bother to box it back up and return it, but I would not buy it again.

We are so glad we bought another safe, but we should’ve bought a bigger one. This safe is very nice and durable! It comes with a key (always make sure you remember where you put it) and also a numbered key pad. I say that about the key because it’s battery powered. It has two levels so you could separate things you place in your safe.it is fire safe and I think that’s a must. Excellent investment and gives you ease of having your important documents or treasures secured!

Product description is misleading...this safe is definitely NOT fire or water proof. It is fairly sturdy single wall steel construction. There is absolutely no fire protection insulation/material within the safe to designate it as fire proof or even resistant for that matter. While it may not totally succumb in a fire it would offer no protection to documents or valuables other than security. As for waterproof... no way...period!! Two holes in the back and bottom for securing to a wall or floor as well as no door seal pretty much ensures water penetration in the event of a flood, water damage from a fire, etc. I purchased a separate fire and water proof bag which will hold my important documents/valuables while stored in the safe. The safe itself is, again, single wall steel construction and appears to be relatively sturdy and secure. It is fairly light and could easily be carried away by anyone who really wanted it. Securement methods for wall or floor will only slow down a potential thief at best. Set up was easy and time will tell how long the batteries last in the key pad. Having a backup with keys is a plus. Generally a decent product for the money (without the $40 off coupon I wouldn't have bought it) but the supplier should update their description to delete the claim of "fire and water proof". That being said most other listings for similar size safes claim the same falsehoods on their products so suppose it is an industry thing. Do yourself a favor if you do decide to purchase...get a separate fire and water proof/resistant bag to store your valuables in this safe.

This safe is great for the price. It's easy to setup and use. You can open it with the numbers pad but it also comes with two keys. Some reviewers complain it's not heavy enough and a thief could take it with him. Well, that's the reason it comes with bolts so you can bolt in to the floor or to the wall from the inside...no one is leaving with it...And if you can't bolt it down, put a few cheap weight plates on the floor of the safe, it doesn't take too much space and makes the safe much heavier to carry for a thief...
