Although this case is a bit expensive, I recommend it over the cheaper, USB 2.0 varieties. Especially if your purpose is similar to mine. I used it to create a clone of my HDD for shifting to a SSD on my laptop. Because of USB 3.0, the process is much faster. Also, the 2.5 inch HDD used in the laptop can be shifted to the enclosure for use as an external HDD. I used it as external storage for my PS4, which only accepts USB 3.0 enclosures. This case has a smooth rubbery feel, has some rudimentary protection against shocks (might be useless in most cases), and has an average USB cable. But then you need to compare it with its peers, which are far worse. This one at least has an indicator light, opens smoothly, and looks better.

Works well. Had connected it for about 12 hours while cloning hard drive. Worked well.Going good. Not checked the speed as yet but decent speed.Although this is plastic case and the case gets mildly warm during elongated periods of use but then that's normal.Pros: No tools required / simple and easy to operate / no drivers required for Windows 10 / good for cleaning laptop hard drive / average build quality / fair speed / not expensive / good seller (great follow up for feedback!)Cons: Plastic build / may not dissipate heat as much as metal cases / average speed (not bad though)

Just loved it. you can get usb 2 case for arround 300 rupees. compared to that, you might feel that this is expensive.But you won't be disappointed once you get it. you will love the packaging. built quality is great. it has soft rubber finish, doesn't look like a case. looks like original external hard disk.performance is also good.i have a 5400rpm 1tb wd laptop hard diski am getting an average 105-115 mbps read speed and 75-90 mbps write speed. Please keep in mind that i use an ssd as my laptop's primary hard disk so you might get sloeer speeds compared to this if you have a slow primary drive.its great for both looks and performance. If you are looking for a similar device just go fir it without thinking.

Item is exactly as shown in the picture and is working fine. The hard disk properly fit into the enclosure but the only problem is the sponge which is given on the cover so that the hard disk fits tightly and doesnot moves on shaking is too thin and and the hard disk moves a bit. Others are fine.

Instead of writing the review let me write about things I missed during installation.1. The box comes with 2 sticky sponges to support the HDD on either side. Find them first. Carefully stick them. Since I donno how to stick it wasted both the sponges. Now my HDD is dancing if I shake hard.About the product.1. Matt finish is good. You will like the feel of it.2. Light indicator is also cool. While data transfer and movie play from HDD it will blink superb pink and blue colour.3. Data transfer speed is good.

its one of the worast product for that price , when i opened the box it looks like the old case and the finger printes are visible, iam not satisfied with this product

The product is made up of good quality plastic. It has a slide on casing so need for any tools.It is a great feature if you need to switch hard drives.Has an indicator for power and it blinks when data is transferred.Yet to test the speed.

The SATA case comes in brilliant packaging. The product has a nice smooth feel to it. Although I am not sure how long it shall remain that way :)Coming to the product, the plastic feels rigid enough. There are stick on foam pieces to lend a firm fit to the hard drive inside, so that takes away all worries of a wobbly hard drive.Read write speeds are as expected on a USB 3.0 module, I have tried R/W using a Seagate SATA to USB module and the speeds are comparable to the product. There's a minimalist status led on the case. Overall a recommended purchase
