Helpers in My Community (My World - Grl G)

I love that this book includes all kinds of community helpers-including volunteers! I used this book in my unit on community for my first grade class and each student was able to relate to at least one of the helpers in the book. It had excellent pictures and child-friendly descriptions of each different job

Good book

I use it for my homeschool children at home.Very informarive for toddlers, but not for 3rd grade and up, because it has basic info to help thelittle ones get the general idea of the community helpers . Overall a good buy.

Great book for four-year-old!

Great information and pictures were colorful and child friendly.

I teach a toddler class. My litter friends loved this book. It's short to the point, and has great pictures. Went well with our community workers theme.

The book is for Pre-K, Kindergarten level. The information needs some additional explanation, especially for the little once but the pictures are clear, and the bigger font helps, too. Recommended.

I bought this for my grandkids to go with dress up clothes that I purchased from Melissa and Doug company.

A good addition to my community helper unit. I would suggest buying books specifically for the job (ie: doctor, vet etc). Lots of information for students but it can be a little overwhelming!
