Prayer Book

This is one of the best prayer books I have ever used! I became a godmother for the first time one month ago, and I thought that this would be a really special treat to give my godchildren as they came into the church, I have been meaning to get a copy for myself and I’ve been using the Ancient Faith prayer book since I myself was baptized and chrismated. Some of the things that I really appreciate about this prayer book and a particular is that it has cannons in it, the liturgy, lots of extra prayers, it even has extra prayers for the morning and the evening. Prayers then in my other prayer book. The binding is strong and beautiful, I really feel like this is made and designed to last I really feel like this Jordanville prayer book is one that I can pass down to my children, and perhaps grandchildren, and that no matter how much use it gets, that it will stand up to all the wear and tear

Perfect addition to my home prayer life, especially useful for days when I can't make it to services.

Helpful in Daily prayer

Have copied and pasted so much into my notes that I’m no longer authorized to copy anymore, so now I photograph. All for my own use in prayer. I am blessed in knowing my Christ God more and more. Beautiful book and essential to me as an Orthodox Christian. But, oh my, how blessed anyone will be who reads the prayers and services of the early Church fathers. 💖🙏☦️⚓️🕊️

Small, hard cover and the side pages hold. The prayers are exactly what I need.

Great prayer book! Solid construction. Thick paper pages. In-between large and extra large font size for easy reading. Knocked off a star for two pages having been accidentally glued together which I had to peel apart very, very carefully. As a former Roman Catholic going to Eastern Orthodoxy, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Psalm readings are based off of and numbered to the Greek Septuagint, which is used heavily in the St. Jerome's (pre-Schism shared Saint) Latin Vulgate/Douay-Rheims Bible, which I'm very familiar with and have a few. The readings are near identical. They will not read like you would see in the KJV and all other non-Catholic English Bibles based off the KJV/Masoretic Old Testament.

All perfect but wouldn't recommend it for new members of the church as it causes confusion on how to use it.
