Ultimate Shadow Palette, Eyeshadow Palette - I Know That's Bright

As some have already said (and I must have missed while going through reviews to see if I wanted to buy this) some of the colors are not safe for eyes. In fact, half of the pallete and some of the colors that I was buying this for are just for face. It DOES say it in small writing on the front, but clearly not a lot of us were looking at the fine print and we're seeing something listed as eye shadow pallete and expected as such. They could list this as "eye and face pallete" and save a lot of people the shock once receiving this package. I will give 5 stars because its vibrant and showed up in tact. I just wish it was a bit more up front about what it is instead of expecting any of us that are shopping to fill our emptiness to read the text in the place on the pkg that usually just has size or weight, so why would we even look there!? We didn't know it was a disclaimer. I cant testify to the all-day wear as of yet because I havent applied any. But I also use primers and setting sprays so I cant post anything about JUST the products longevity appropriately. I'm a Morphe Madam so I'm not super familiar with Nyx eyeshadow, but despite my age I do love a fun make-up...so we shall see!

Great colors. Really good staying power.

I initially got this palette because I knew NYX was a pretty good brand and the colors would all be neutral enough to be pretty versatile. However, there were some caveats that you might want to know before you buy it. 1) It’s a bit smaller than I expected. Although the pans of each color are decently sized that they’re plenty easy to work with, overall it was just a bit smaller than anticipated. It’s around 3/4 the size of my hand, thought it will probably run to about 1/2 on most people. Again, not a big deal as there’s still plenty of product that you can access easily, just not as big as other palettes I thought it would be similar to. 2) The matte shades are not super pigmented with one layer. While there are a few exceptions (notably the red shades) most others would require you to build them up to be more noticeable on the eye if you’re going for more than a very natural look. The shimmers are more obvious, though they’re more “shiny” than shimmery, as it doesn’t read as sparkles or glitter on the eye like it does in the pan. You still get a similar effect, just more subtle in the sparkle. And at least for me, it took a little bit of finessing to get the layer to look eyes and not sort of blotchy or uneven like it does at first. And while I’m not super experienced in makeup (so this may have just been a skill issue) it’s just something to note that they will not look perfectly even on the first go. 3) The top lid of the package does smudge easily. While this isn’t a huge deal as it doesn’t impact the effectiveness of the eyeshadow itself, just be warned that your fingerprints on the clear plastic and the black outline will be semi-noticeable. On a positive note though, they appear to build very well, as I started with a matte shade and added a shimmer over top and it looked great. While I can’t speak the to blendability of the shades, they at least layer nicely. The pans and the inner compartments don’t feel super loose, and don’t seem like they would pop out randomly, although the black insert that holds the pan feels like it may be able to be removed, but I couldn’t figure out how. So it feels sturdy enough to last, but could be difficult if you’re replacing individual pans or the insert itself. It also closes very securely, and I wouldn’t worry about it popping open on accident. If you struggle it opening packages like this though, it may be a bit hard as sometimes it can be a little difficult to open. Overall, I would say this is worth the money as a good neutral starter palette, but I would still recommend waiting for it to go on sale to make it even more worthwhile (since I got it during Prime Day and only paid $13 rather than the other listed price of $18).

NYX is my favorite makeup brand! It is not expensive, but it lasts just as long as high-end brands! I have gone swimming so many times with a fully made-up face, and my makeup stayed in place. Other people commented that they couldn't believe my makeup was still on and wasn't running down my face. Their colors are so well-pigmented that a little goes a long way. NYX eyeshadows and lipsticks are so easy to put on, you don't need a lot, or you can glam it up and won't even have to touch up. This particular palette is one of my favorites. All the colors match my natural tones so well, and I can blend them easily with other shades if I like. If you want more vibrant glam colors for the club, NYX has you covered there also. NYX is THE best makeup brand for the money!

This palette is weird. It comes with colors to be used on the face and not the eyes. The colors to be used on the face are strange, like you would use them for Halloween or something. The directions say don't use the face colors on your eyes. So, there are many colors, that in my opinion, are unusable on a daily basis. Plus the pallet was damaged. I didn't bother sending it back. Rethink ordering this one.

NYX Professional Make Up Warm Nudes Great product for the price. I waited a little while to leave this review. I wanted to test the colors checking out their pigment, how well they blended, and how well they wore. Colors: Love the colors in the Warm Neutrals palette. It is what I was looking for, for my brown eyes. They are quite pigmented and you can build up the color if needed. Blending: I am no make up professional. With that said, I find these blend well. I feel as well as my old go-to Tarte Tartelette cool tones. That being a $45.00+ pallette, this is what sparked my search for more affordable decent make up. Saving money is pretty important to me these days. Wear: The eyeshadow last pretty much all day. This being just a normal day at work. (Office job) I do use the e.l.f setting spray "Stay All Night". Added note; Great swap for the Urban Decay "All Nighter". Long story short, it's worth it. And for what it worth, I suggested my mother and sister try this product too. (They were blessed with beautiful bule/green eyes so they may need different colors.)

I absolutely love this neutral eyeshadow palette! The shades are very flattering and versatile, making it easy to create both natural daytime looks and more defined evening looks. The pigmentation is good, the shadows blend smoothly, and last nicely throughout the day. It arrived well packaged and exceeded my expectations for the price. I would definitely repurchase.
