The Santa Cruz needed some down tube protection, so I bought this AMS basic kit and cut it to fit. It was very sticky and easy to apply. It's thicker and more heavy duty than the 3m protection tape I used for other parts of the bike.

All I needed was a pin and a hairdryer. Some bubbles will form. Use the pin to poke them and push the air out. Hairdryer keeps the glue sticky. Give it a final 3-5min after popping holes and keep smoothing with the hairdryer. Looks good and it’s a fairly stiff sticker, so it will def not allow frame damage from the chain.

Protege muy Bien el marco de la bicicleta

Inicialmente compre el primer kit en mi país, luego este en Amazon y es el segundo por esta pagina, es muy fácil de instalar y un queden algunas burbujas dado el diseño del protector gradualmente irán desapareciendo, no se que tiempo pueden durar, pero si se ven resistentes, ligeros y útiles.

Love the frame guards. Bought the camo one and on my blue bike looks like Night camo. Want to buy more to put on it for looks and protection. *Update* After about year of having these on the bike I still love the look of the camo pattern on the blue! One of the proactive stickers on the top tube pulled up after a longer haul on the bike rack. Not product fault, just hate that it messed up the look. So sticky it was hard to straighten out and it stay again. Product on bottom tube is still good. Still plan on buying another pack to add more protection and decor on the bike. If there is anything negative to say, it would be I wish it came with more. And I wish they had a matching chain stay protector.

La protezione è assicurata contro pietroline (non di sicuro i massi) che potrebbero andare a scalfire la verniciatura. Per una PERFETTA applicazione si consiglia di scaldare la zona (precedentemente pulita) con un semplice phone, e lo stesso adesivo: in questo modo potrà essere applicato in qualsiasi zona del telaio, senza bolle o rialzamenti. Una volta raffreddata la zona, l'adesivo rimarrà perfettamente in posizione! DIFETTI: La rifinitura a nido d'ape, nonostante sia gradevole alla vista, prevede una maggior propensione a mantenere lo sporco su di esso. La marca della casa produttrice è ben visibile, stampata di grigio metallizzato, sugli adesivi più grossi: potrebbe essere un problema per qualcuno. Alla luce dei (piccoli) difetti, consiglio l'acquisto a tutti quelli che hanno a cuore la propria MTB, utilizzando delle soluzioni "leggere", asportabili, ma assolutamente di qualità!
