It works like an NVR, automatically storing all footage in one place on a microSD card. I noticed many reviews mentioning that the feature doesn’t work with Tapo cameras, but after updating both the camera and hub firmware, I was able to successfully pair it with my Tapo C320 cameras. You can also configure it to trigger alarms when motion or a person is detected, either during the day or at night.

If you have multiple Tapo devices, this is a very good addition. It connects with all the tapo devices and then you can set various automations. For example, I have set an automation in which any of my tapo terrace camera detects human or sensor detects that a door is open, the tapo hub will start an alarm, the tapo led strip will turn on with red color and I will receive a notification of an intruder from the tapo app. The only con is the max volume of the hub. It would have been better if it was more loud.

Product is very compact and very easy to install and configure. It worked as expected and I would recommend this as a good security gadget for any home.

Excellent product

The description is mentioned about wifi camera can connect and store recording but it doesn't act like a NVR. Continuous recording won't work if internet fail. Also sometimes memory card reinitialization is showing. Sometimes it doesn't store recording.

Alarm is loud enough and is audible from far. Built in wifi hotspot functions well

Consider this if you want to ensure no footage loss even if someone breaks the camera. Also, it will work as central control for all type of Tapo devices.

Very impressed with the H200 hub so far. Setup through the Tapo app was quick and painless and all my devices connected first time without any messing around. Connection has been solid and responsive, especially with my Tapo button switches and smart lighting setup. Commands trigger quickly and everything feels reliable once configured. I mainly bought it to use with the Tapo S200B buttons and it’s worked brilliantly for that. Nice compact size, doesn’t get hot, and the app makes managing devices pretty simple even if you’re new to smart home stuff. For the price it’s a really good entry point into the Tapo ecosystem and makes the smart buttons and sensors much more useful.

Prend peu de place, paramétrage facile, couvre sans problème 100 m2 avec étage un module amplificateur est disponible pour les cas difficiles. L'ajout et le paramétrage des capteurs et caméras compatibles est aussi facile que rapide . Matériel à conseiller.

Be aware that even though sold on Amazon Canada it is not compatible and you will need an adapter. Returning isnt worth it as the postage back was $165. Great customer service though.
