Ingredients All-Natural Directions As per direction on package Safety Warning Not required Box Contains Precious Cat Ultra Litter 18.14kg (40lbs) Review: Brilliant, absolutely love it! - I have two cats and struggled to find a cat litter that helps me manage the litter easily. The absorbency of the litter makes it extremely easy to find the clumps of urine and tracks the poo easily. It makes litter cleaning within few minutes which is super convenient for a single mum of two boys and busy on the go schedule. For the amount this package comes in, one bag lasts me for 3+ months and a great value for money! Review: Still the best clay litter! - I used to swear by Dr Elsey’s back home in the US for years, but wasn’t able to find it after moving to England. Glad to see it’s available now and I haven’t found a comparable clay litter that works better with a Litter Robot, or that generates less dust. I’d say the tracking and odor control are on par with other bentonite litters though. This is a little pricier than other brands, but it’s a decent size bag so lasts a long time with a litter robot. ## Features - Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. - May cause cancer. - All natural - Superior odour control - 99.9% dust free - Hard clumping - Hypo-allergenic, no perfume or chemicals ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0009X29WK | | Best Sellers Rank | 6,101 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) 117 in Cat Litter | | Brand | Dr. Elsey's | | Brand Name | Dr. Elsey's | | Capacity | 18.14 kg | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 66,688 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00000338004404 | | Included Components | Cat Litter | | Item Display Weight | 18.14 Kilograms | | Item Form | granular | | Item Type Name | Cat Litter | | Item Weight | 18 Kilograms | | Item form | granular | | Item weight | 18 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Precious Cat, Inc | | Manufacturer Part Number | 3013 | | Material | Clay | | Material Type | Clay | | Model Number | 460U | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Pet Type | Cat | | Product Warranty | Guaranteed litter box use | | Scent | Unscented | | Scent Name | Unscented | | Target Species | Cat | | Unit Count | 640.0 millilitre | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Dr. Elsey's - **Capacity:** 18.14 kg - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00000338004404 - **Item form:** granular - **Item weight:** 18 Kilograms - **Material:** Clay - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Scent:** Unscented - **Unit count:** 640.0 millilitre - **Weight:** 18.14 Kilograms ## Images ![Precious Cat Dr. Elsey's Ultra Cat Litter, 18.14 kg - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61eb-cX2wrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Bought twice-1st time loved it, 2nd time stuck like glue to bottom of litter box.Has anyone had same problem? I added a few inches but it didn't help.** A: Yup. We were using this litter for a couple of years and lately it becomes a thick mess, like fresh concrete, on the bottom of the litter box and its a real pain to scrap out the wet litter. We are now mixing it 50/50 with the "world's best kitty litter" because I don't want to throw it away and the "worlds best" while great at clumping is not as good at odor control. Something changed in the manufacturing of this product for sure! **Q: what is the litter made of?** A: It's NOT dustless. To see this the best, watch and breathe as you tip (however gently) new litter in the pan. We get the best food, can't afford the best litter so found this to be the best (we were on Arm & Hammer but they changed and got super dusty), then price started going up this year so we went elsewhere. Have use dpine which is good, but you have to clean every day as its non clumping, just lays on top. Spending a bit more now on Wheat litter, NO DUST when you pour, cats are ok with it. Hope they cough less than with clay. Whats the point in the best food and then giving them clay (ALL clay litter produces dust and the cats are way more sensitive to it then us). **Q: How does this compare to "Fresh Step" when it comes to the amount of airborne dust? Thanks!** A: We, too, used Fresh Step for years, until we discovered Precious Cat. Unfortunately, all cat litter has dust that can become airborne. That said, Precious Cat by far has the least amount. We have seven litter pans in one area (currently four cats) and keep an air cleaner there as well. Sweeping or vacuuming in the area daily is a must to keep litter from being tracked throughout the house, which gets crushed underfoot and can then become airborne dust. **Q: Is this litter sented?** A: No. The label/description is correct :"it controls odor naturally without perfume, deodorants or chemicals".This is an unscented litter vs some that say unscented but if you dig deeper (bad pun) you can find "masking scent" as seen in some air/room/fabric deodorizers. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant, absolutely love it! *by H***T on 29 December 2025* I have two cats and struggled to find a cat litter that helps me manage the litter easily. Glad to see it’s available now and I haven’t found a comparable clay litter that works better with a Litter Robot, or that generates less dust. I visited a few great pages but this one veterinary page where she explained why RAW is truly the best way to go for a healthy cat, she also talked about litter and problems a lot of people may experience. First reason this litter was picked is because it DUSTS a lot less than other litters, like for example World's Best Cat Litter. So after having used World's Best Cat Litter and wasn't too impressed by the poor clumping I decided to go for this one. And let me tell you, this thing is like cement! But, in a good way! The thing is, when cats go to the litter box, and when they push the litter around, it generates a lot of dust. The dust it generates is not good for your cats lungs, and as such this litter is great. It dusts very little compared to other clumping litters. If you are buying this litter, make sure you put a really thick layer of it, this litter is like cement. If the pee reaches the bottom it will be hard to get off. Buy a sturdy litter scoop! If you let the pee dry up for a while, it will get dry pretty quick, and then it is it's super easy to clean. It really clumps perfectly, and it never falls apart like it does with other cat litters. It may take a while to get used to this litter and to learn how to best use it, but this litter is better than TWBCL, it is a lot more gentle on your cats lungs and doesn't fall apart! ## Frequently Bought Together - Dr. Elsey's Ultra UnScented Clumping Clay Cat Litter 40 lb.
