AreMe USB C Splitter, 2-in-1 Dual USB-C Headphone and Charger Adapter, Grey

I dont know what others are complaining about but this product is a Godsend. Ive been looking for something like this for over a year now. It will let you charge the Pocket Osmo 3 + allow you to run a USB-C Line In/Mic in. The people complaining probably don't know how USB-C to 3.5mm conversation cables work.... there are two kinds. The first is Audio out only like an Aux. The 2nd is bidirectional where you can send input (think microphone 🎤) or output (think aux headphone 🎧). If you know what youre doing, you can charge the Osmo while using a correct UBS-C to 3.5mm (Mic in) so that you can record audio in while charging. I have tested this and it absolutely 100% works. While this product does what it says it will do (mostly), in that, yes, you can connect a secondary USB-C device while charging, it has a critical flaw with regards to connecting storage devices (flash drives, SSDs, etc.). The critical flaw is that if you disconnect the charging cable, it will ALSO disconnect whatever you have plugged into the secondary USB-C port. This is harmless, with regards to devices such as headsets, but this fatal flaw can COMPLETELY BRICK ANY KIND OF STORAGE DEVICE, because it just abruptly disconnects it, without safely ejecting the device. USE CAUTION if you plan to use this with any kind of storage device and DO NOT UNPLUG THE POWER, without first safely ejecting the storage device. More over, if you are using this with a Steam Deck (as suggested from the title), after you disconnect the power the device will repeatedly connect and disconnect your storage device, causing even more damage. Because of this absolutely fatal flaw in design, I cannot recommend or rate it as more than one star, because this design flaw WILL DESTROY STORAGE DEVICES if you are not careful and unsuspectingly disconnect the power cable. It's ridiculous that this kind of design flaw was never caught in quality testing (if they even had any degree of quality testing).

I purchased this item to allow me to charge my iPhone 15 while using the Apple USB-C headphone adapter to listen to music. The device works as I expected. In principle, this device would also allow me to attach another USB-C device (like an external drive) instead of headphones. I doubt I will ever use it for that purpose, but it is nice to know that I could. I like the compact size and the fact that it works with my iPhone case on. I measured the depth from the edge of the case to the phone at the USB-C socket to be 3.0 mm using a digital caliper. The plastic collar around the USB-C connector is about 1 mm thick and about 3.4 mm high.

bought for my quest two cause I thought I needed it, I in fact didnt cause it was my personal settings, but this wont work if you want to use the quest link for PC, plugged it into both ports and got nothing, not even my headphones would connect with its dongle into them, ill give it some credit it does work on my phone, but my case has to be off to even plug it in. if you plan to buy this with the quest 2, dont, but who knows maybe I did something wrong

Used this with my Ally, its great so far. I used it to split power and an ethernet adapter worked flawlessly. It does not pass video out on the other port which was something I hoped for. Also I lose 30 watt turbo on my 65watt charger when using this with ethernet.

Using it on my Steam Deck, really like it... but it gets a star off because when ever I unplug the power cable it unmounts my SSD, which means I have to remember to unmount it before unplugging the power, its a bit of a pain.

So i bought this after lookong for several weeks for this exact item and settling for the long cables that just wouldnt work. After using this on my meta 3 for 2 weeks it has performed beautifully and above and beyond what i expected, i run my head set tetheres to a pc for highest data transfer, and run a seperate 45 watt charging cable to this adpater, i play for hours with out having to worry about the headset shutting off, it keeps up with charging and playing while running the headset and the passthrough camera for a mied reallity experiance. This ia the first afapter or cable that i have seen to be able to handle the needed data transfer to hold 90fps while in vr with mixed reality on a graphic demanding game. If you are looking to get best results for yiu vr headset that can tether with usb and charge, i highly recommend this unit.

Doesn’t work. Tested bandwidth using this adapter and got USB 2.0 speeds (360mb/s) no where close to USB3.2 it advertises. PD also doesn't really work, it seems to fail to properly handle the negotiation causing the output power to go to nothing. Avoid.

Worked for like a month before it decided to literally just break in 2, was using it to power my quest 3 and the face tracker. Do not buy

Funciona a la perfección en mi Steam Deck, lo uso en conjunto con el dongle USB C de mis audífonos Inzone, así ya tengo carga y salida de audio usando este divisor, lo recomiendo ampliamente

Doesn't work. Charge doesnt active and the usb c doesnt receive signal.
