Even though I actually enjoyed using the DJI Neo—at least while I had it! I have to give it 1 star as it flew off within 13 days of having this product. I got to enjoy the drone for just 13 days before it unexpectedly “flew away.” After a few successful indoor flights, I decided to take it outside. Within seconds of activating the “follow me” function, it started acting erratically and then flew off, never to be seen again—despite the clear, calm conditions. To make things worse, I had just spent over £130 on accessories two days prior. As a beginner, I was drawn to this drone because of its simplicity and ease of use. All I wanted was to capture some basic shots while walking or running outdoors, but I never got the chance. It’s also worth noting that the DJI Neo apparently doesn’t record a flight log when taking off from the palm if it isn’t connected to a controller or phone. I checked, and there’s no record of the incident in my log. This is ESSENTIAL for logging a ‘Fly Away’ report with DJI. A clear flaw when in this situation!! I’m really hoping DJI will support me on this, as I was thoroughly enjoying the experience before this disappointing mishap. Just an honest heads-up for anyone considering the DJI Neo.

This is not an angry review, it's a genuine review. After spending hours researching drones that would be under 250g, have the follow-me portability, it came down the DJI Neo & iHover. All recommendations from peers who have had drones said go with DJI for the brand quality. ABSOLUTELY NOT - let me tell you why. The Neo depends on the app to activate the drone, it does not have a seperate pilot controller. THIS is where the problem starts. The app is NOT available on iStore or Google play, it's an independent app which, after your phone gives multiple warnings about safety, is one helluva glitchy app which crashes. Then, comes the issue with connecting to the drone. You HAVE to connect using data, it does not connect using WiFi. After trying to figure why, I go to DJI website forum and it is the number one complaint as it is not disclosed you need data to use and activate this, along with a glitchy app to enable it to fly. DJI may have the brand name for drones with a pilot controller, they have absolutely failed with the Neo. Don't buy.

Absolutely furious. The quick start guide gets you to download a storefront app which does not control the drone. Instead you must download an unverified app (APK) from DJI's website. The app is not available in Play store and when trying to install the app there are clear warnings that "this app may put your device at risk". So what do I do now? Return the drone or buy a cheap disposable phone? This is a long way from being a simple to use drone.

so i own two other Dji drones and have no issues at all with them. This item out of the box just would not work, ie the goggles would not power on or take any charge at all, tried different cables and chargers and still not able to power on the goggles. This power problem is quite a common complaint once you start looking into it. After this experience i will not be buying any more of the DJI drones as this kind of failure out of the box erodes all confidence in future models due to quality control. These drones are not cheap and customers expect to have a working product when they purchase them, instead we get this bollocks. Not a good look Dji. You just lost a new user/customer due to shoddy quality control leading to a dissatisfied end user experience which in turn will steer me away from your products and towards others. I am forced to give you a one star rating when really you deserve none.

Review of DJI Drone Experience I recently purchased a DJI drone, but unfortunately, my experience has been impacted by an issue with the DJI Fly app. My phone, an Oppo Reno 12F with Android version 14, was unable to install the app, and I received the error message: "This app was built for an older version of Android and doesn’t include the latest privacy protections." The app is essential for the operation of the drone, and without it, I am unable to fully utilize the product. I followed the guidelines in the instructions provided by DJI, which state that the app is compatible with Android version 7 or newer. Since my phone runs Android 14, I expected the installation to work smoothly. To troubleshoot, I also tested the app on two other compatible devices— a Samsung S21 Plus and an Oppo Reno 10 Pro—both of which are listed in the manual. Unfortunately, I encountered the same error message on all three phones. After spending over 7.5 hours trying to resolve the issue, I contacted Amazon customer support. While they made an effort to assist me, they were unable to resolve the issue and suggested I return the drone. I find this resolution unsatisfactory, as I had high expectations for the product. DJI drones have a strong reputation in the industry, and I was recommended to try this product. I was even considering purchasing the DJI Mini 4 Pro Combo after using the DJI Neo as a test. However, my experience with this particular model has been disappointing, which has caused me to reconsider my future purchases. I bought the DJI Neo to use with my cell phone, on the app. According to information from DJI itself, the drone simply lands when it loses signal or contact. Which is not the case, because with me the drone was completely out of control, crashing into a tree and falling off. I lost a propeller and the camera, the gimble. I would like to return it and be reimbursed.

If it’s for a kid great but I find it an expensive toy. Minimum breeze will make it consume battery to maybe 5minutes maximum,you need to bring it back when there’s 50% of battery left or you will loose it,connection is terrible,I would recommend flying it in the desert,honestly can’t see it lasting long even in the most skilled hands. Oh and won’t detect obstacles or at least mine didn’t

The imaginary item is absolutely brilliant. I took the day off to receive delivery for an item that was due originally between 12 45 and 330pm which then moved to a 3-5pm slot. At 1640 this amazing item was a mere 25 minutes and 1 stop away. Well this item is so great, it flew all the way back to Bournemouth. Must have some amazing battery capacity and range. Well done Amazon, you keep providing the best.

Pretty good and easy to use; Sadly there’s many laws in Japan and is very difficult to use it outside your own house. The setup was simple and the quality of the camera is acceptable. Wind can be a issue. Flying in manual mode is a challenge.

Llegó muy rápido, solo presentaba ligeros daños en la caja exterior y funciona correctamente. Una vez lo vinculé a mi cuenta no mostraba horas de vuelo, aunque la batería tenía 5 ciclos de carga. Todo correcto y me costó 55€ menos, vamos un 25% aprox de rebaja sobre el valor de nuevo y con la garantía y tranquilidad de comprar directamente a amazon.
