An easy fix for a harsh light
Purchased in hopes of warming up an LED light, and it worked beautifully. The light in our new ceiling fan had three color choices, but they were either pink, harsh cold white, or โinterrogation blueโ. I was able to trace the light cover around one of the gels, cut it, and place it inside the light case. Ta-da! Our $200 โdid-we-make-a-mistakeโ fan light was transformed in minutes to a beautiful light with just a hint of warmth! And, thereโs plenty left to do other lights in the house!

Great option for warming up LED torchiere!
I bought an LED floor lamp from Amazon and unfortunately picked the wrong light temperature - the result was a very harsh white light that just didn't work in my room, but it seemed silly to throw out an otherwise working lamp for that reason. It occurred to me that some kind of light filter might help so I got these. The second-lightest filter was perfect, the light is still very bright but much less harsh. I just cut it into the same round shape as my lamp and used double-sided tape to stick it on! (Note this will only work with LED lamps that don't get too hot and have a nice flat surface for the gel.)

Pretty accurate, perfectly useable
For the price, I wasn't so concerned with durability (but it is REALLY thin, flimsy stuff that will crinkle the first time you touch it), but I was worried if it would be color accurate enough to use, and man was I impressed! The image compares a daylight COB with the 1/2-strength sheet (or the third weakest, whichever that is), to a bicolor COB set at 3200K. For both shots the camera was set at 5600K in RAW, and when I changed the WB to 3200K in post, the two photos were almost indistinguishable, even running the picker tool across them in Photoshop. Not only do I think I'll use this, but it'll give a new lease on my old daylight-only lights. Excellent buy!

Great for LED Security Lights
Purchased to cover LED security lights. These lights don't get hot, so no melting concerns. They've worked great and now the lights attract fewer bugs and I'm sure the wildlife (birds, etc) appreciate less light pollution. The security cameras still capture clear images, so no negatives so far.

Great ambience
This film is perfect for cutting and using in overhead LED lights. Produces a nice glow instead of bright harshness.

The Gels Get The Job Done
As the headline states: The Gels Get The Job Done You get a lot for your money. The gels are on the thin side but there are 5 different CTOs gels that are 16x20 inches. The same Rosco gels would cost 5 times the price. I gel my on-camera flash and remote flash during weddings and events. At times it's a 1/2 CTO to match the ambient light and other times it's a full CTO. I don't use hot lights or gel studio strobes much so I can't comment how well the gels handle heat. Can't beat the price!

Exactly what I needed for my film shoot
I pulled out this set of CTO the most often during my last film shoot because I needed a LOT of orange over my "fire flicker" LED panel lights so that they actually looked like the kind of fire I was simulating. I've not actually seen the very dark "Golden Orange" gel in a set like this before (Gold, not "Glod" -- c'mon guys) but it was perfect for a "burning house" effect. Can't have too many different gels!

Pretty good set of CTO gels
You get 5 gels. They show up all tightly rolled together, unmarked. Once you unpeel them from each other and spread them out, you can identify which is which. Do yourself a favor, grab a Sharpie and label them along the edge. They're not Rosco gels and you're not paying Rosco prices, so let's just manage expectations. Are they going to hold up to lots of abuse? Probably not for long. But, are you going to sob as you're cutting these up to fit various fixtures? You shouldn't. And that's the space these should occupy. They're great for low-budgets, customization, and good results. I already used one for Halloween decorations and didn't even flinch when cutting it up.
