This is a great way to have all I need to prepare a meal. Cutting board, knives, and useable storage container all in one. It’s perfect for stowing all needed to get the job done.

This is definitely a piece of equipment that should be packed along with the rest of your camping gear. Its compact and versatile for its size. The knifes are great quality considering the overall price of the package. The knives are very sharp and ready to use right out of the box.

Perfect for camping

Nice utensil storage for tent/car camping. I like the fact that there are 2 cutting boards that snap on to make a secure lid. It’s also cool that it is flat. Nice sturdy locks that hold the lid on. Two quality knives that are securely pop into place and cool little storage area for forks, knives and, spoons. The functionality of it worked perfect for our family and the overall weight of it is very nice. Great value for the money!

Good gear

I have not used this yet, but as the home cooler and an avid camper I am pumped. The bamboo board is a nice size for camping. The knives look very adequate in size and sharpness, and the little catch tray is going to be clutch. Last campout I cut up onions and didn't have anywhere to put them while I prepared the rest of the food. This will solve that problem. I'll also use the tray as my sink when I get things soapy to clean up. The rubber feet are a nice touch. Overall very thoughtful design

I really like the concept of this item though there are a few things that I might change. It's great having one monolithic "box" with two cutting boards, two knives, and containers to use for serving the food you're cutting up. The knives are good basic Chinese blades - despite the Gerber name this whole set is made in China - not bad per-se, but don't expect to get Oregon-made knives at this price point! I like how firmly the latches hold everything together, and being able to separate the knife carrier and bottom tray gives you either storage in the knife-carrier (where there's an unused cavity) or maybe a place to dump vegetable ends, etc. Note if you're searching for info there is a typo in the product name, it's the "Compleat" cutting board set - L not I. The bamboo board in particular feels a bit flimsy - I'd be willing to pay a bit of a weight penalty to get a thicker one since this is a car-camping set, not a backpacking set (where weight might take precendence). Likewise the "juice grooves" are way to shallow to be of much use - and force you to latch the food prep surface of the bamboo board on the outside instead of the inside. A thicker board with a real juice groove would be a big improvement. I think the set is a bit space-inefficient, but that's a tradeoff with the utility of the bottom tray, so I'm not sure I hold it against the design. The retention slots and posts for the knives are robust, but the retention slot is already getting cut up on mine after just a handful of insertions/removals. Overall this is a great piece of car camping equipment and gets a solid recommendation from me.

Great product for the price. I use it in our camper which is perfect!
