Little Joys is a wonderfully written book and beautifully illustrates a very powerful message that young kids can understand. I’m excited to see more books from this very talented author.

Beautifully written and illustrated book. It’s appropriate for all ages from pre-school upward. Even middle schoolers, teenagers and adults will find it comforting and like a warm hug if they are experiencing grief. The book acknowledges that grief is real, and that it’s ok. Yet, the book also is quite hopeful, giving readers permission to seek the joy that their loved one would want for them. Buy this for yourself as well as copies to donate it to your children’s school or local shelters. It’s a lovely book.

Love this story and the great meaning behind it! Shortly after losing my Dad, we started noticing little joys as the author writes in her story - we called them "Dad/Papa winks" - knowing he was with us, making us smile and laugh, never that far away. Loss can be so hard for many reasons and the message in this story about little joys all around us is sweet and powerful when working through grief. Our whole family enjoyed reading the book!

... but have it on hand should you experience a death and have to explain it to child. A must have for any parent, teacher or caregiver. 100 thumbs up!
