The quilted sleeves built into the center of this bag offer both protection to a laptop and/or tablet (I travel with just a tablet), but for me at least enabled the bag to remain upright. There are enough pockets to stay organized without losing items inside the bag. My only demerit would be that the sleeve that enables you to put it over your rollaboard handle is too snugβ€” resulting in a hilarious, escalating, frantic effort to get it off while boarding a plane (a fellow passenger and flight attendant chipped in to help).
