Das richtige Buch für Saurierfans. Habe es verschenkt und die Freude war groß. Inhaltlich anspruchsvoll, also nicht einfach zum durchblättern, sondern eher ein Fachbuch. Genau das habe ich auch gesucht. Perfekter Kauf.

This is the third David Hone book I have read and it is excellent as always. If you are new to the subject, keep a dictionary close at hand for the more technical terminology. The drawings and paintings by Gabriel Ugueto are superb! They are a perfect compliment to the text. Unfortunately the black and white photographs are not clearly printed and are difficult to make out. Otherwise, an excellent addition to my library.

Don't know, if there is a competition, but it's the counterpart to Michael J. Bentons book. Same topic. It's a more scientifc and sometimes dry book. If you don't have much experience and like colorful images and illustrations, I would suggest Bentons book. Criticism: The quality of the black and white images in the book is poor and the conclusion of every chapter is more or less "There is not enough information, almost everything is speculation, we need further research" -> 3 stars
