How is the sound quality?

Average I wish it was a little better. I previously had a Sony under the cabinet for my wife and that sound was really good.

Where is the usb port? the one i received does not have a usb port in the back or on the side.

I don't know. My unit is mounted close to the wall and I can't see the back.

Will this mount flush against the underside of the cabinet or are the spacers permanently affixed?

The spacers are optional hardware and depending on cabinet finish may not be needed for your installation. The iLive under cabinet unit does have pre-molded mounting flanges built into it that can be used to mount the unit. Once installed the unit appears flush, but remember to leave room pull out the antenna wire and to route your power cord.
