Digital Design: Principles and Practices

A reference quality book..
A meticulously laid-out textbook that makes learning Digital Design a pleasure. The diagrams, text-boxes, marginal notes all come together along with the industry experience of the author to make it a high quality reference material on Digital Design. Beyond the technical depth of a book, rarely do authors involve themselves with book formatting, and Dr. Wakerly has done a painstaking job in presenting this material so beautifully. The author has liberally sprinkled humor in this otherwise very serious and lucid endeavor, making it all the more fun to learn.

A good reference
This book has lots of information for a digital designer using a HDL targeting either ASIC or FPGA. It is clearly written and easy to follow. Just wish the binding edge margins were wider do make it easier to read the text near the binding edge of the pages.

No reason to change Chapter Problems between editions
There's really no reason to change the problems between editions except to make us buy the new edition for class.
