CurrentBody Red Light Therapy LED Face Mask: Series 2

At 52, with post-menopausal skin and noticeable loss of elasticity, I’m very selective about what I use and what I continue using long term. I’ve been consistent with LED therapy for years and have used both handheld devices and the Omnilux Contour Face, so I went into the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask Series 2 with a clear point of comparison. This is, without question, an upgrade. What immediately sets this apart is the coverage. It extends further down over the jawline and chin, which is critical for mature skin where laxity tends to show first. That added coverage makes it feel like a more complete treatment rather than focusing only on the center of the face. The build quality is also noticeably better. This mask feels more structured and durable than others I’ve used, including softer silicone styles. It holds its shape well and sits securely on the face without slipping or collapsing, which makes the entire experience feel more stable and higher quality. That sturdiness translates directly into comfort because you’re not constantly adjusting it during use. Beyond that, the technology itself is more advanced. This mask uses multiple wavelengths, including red and near-infrared light, which work at different depths within the skin. Over time, this supports firmness and overall skin quality in a way that feels more comprehensive than single-level treatments. Comfort was another surprise. I had read that this mask might be less comfortable, but I found the opposite to be true. It feels secure, well-balanced, and easy to wear for the full treatment time. The addition of the eye pads is a thoughtful detail that makes a real difference. The light is less intense on the eyes, which makes the experience much more relaxing. In terms of skin response, this integrates very well into an existing routine. My skin feels calm, balanced, and noticeably more supple after use. While this isn’t a “hydrating” product in the traditional sense, I do find that my skin holds hydration better and looks more refreshed and smooth, especially when used consistently alongside serums and moisturizers. Compared to handheld devices, this is significantly more effective simply because it delivers even, hands-free coverage. And compared to Omnilux, it feels more refined, more complete, and better designed for real, consistent use. Overall, this feels like a next-generation LED mask. The improved coverage, more advanced light technology, sturdier construction, and enhanced comfort all come together in a way that makes it not just better, but more practical for long-term use—especially for mature skin focused on firmness, brightness, and elasticity. I’ve been so impressed with this that I’ve already decided to add the neck and décolletage version as well, which feels like the natural next step for a more complete treatment.

I’m beginning to see results and I absolutely love this. This is a skin care routine 3 to 5 times a week usage. I would definitely follow the recommendation use of only 10 minutes per day. When you use it, it will turn off after 10 minutes. Do not continue doing it. I would recommend reading the reasons why. I was one of those unfortunately did not listen and had learned that it can overstimulate your skin, causing a lot of issues. My issues only lasted for about a week. My skin became a little bit more dryer than usual actually significantly because I didn’t follow the directions. This is a very powerful mask. Use it wisely and also understand your skin while it’s reversing the process of aging. It’s a healing process. It takes time.

DO NOT BUY THIS MASK. MY MASK CAME WITH NO PROTECTIVE NO PLASTIC THE STRAPS WERE NOT IN PLASTIC. EVERYTHING LOOKED THROWN IN THE BOX AND RETURNED AND THEN SENT TO ME. ALSO COMES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO INSTRUCTIONS. AFTER FOLLOWING MANY YOUTUBE GUIDES, I DISCOVERED THE VELCRO STRAPS DO NOT FIT TIGHT ENOUGH FOR MY FACE. THIS IS NOT AN AMAZON PROBLEM. THIS IS CURRENT BODY PROBLEM. THEY RESPONDED BY TELLING ME I DON’T HAVE THE STRAPS TIGHT ENOUGH! THE STRAPS ARE TOO LONG AND THERE’S NOT ENOUGH VELCRO TO MAKE THEM Tighter HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS? AFTER DETAILING THE VELCRO PROBLEM, THE RESPONSE WAS JUST “MAKE THE STRAPS TIGHTER.” For this kind of money, I am shocked they don’t make a second set of straps for people with a smaller face even if you have to purchase those straps. I am now going to go through Amazon and see what they can do to help. My advice is do not spend the money on this mask and if you have a problem, please note the companies does not care and their customer service is awful.

I’ve had others I have used over the years and I find current body to be the best I’ve ever had because of it strength with the red infrared. I’ve gotten more results and the best part it’s more portable than the other ones I had where I had to have it plugged in. Another plus I like it’s only 10 minutes and it shuts off automatically to protect your skin. Pricing is high but I waited until I got the lowest price its ever been before I purchased it, but it was worth it.

I know there is a lot of controversy about these LED masks, with some saying it works, and others saying it's a waste of money. After having a few friends confirm good results, I decided to give it a try, and came to Currentbody as one of the more respected versions on the market. I've been on the weight loss drugs now for 6 months, and while I love the results, I am starting to see the "ozempic face" that people have been talking about. Since using this mask, I have absolutely seen a positive difference in some of the sagging in my face. It's subtle, but I see it, and believe me I was skeptical. It's also helped tone down some of the redness in my face, and I do notice an improvement in texture. This is not a face lift, and I don't think we should expect miracles, but if you're looking for some improvement in your skin on a fairly noticeable basis, I think this mask delivers. Overall I'm glad I made the investment and am pretty happy with the results. Please note that results do take dedication and time. I've used the mask every day for 6 weeks before I noticed any changes. It's only 10 minutes, so easy to incorporate into your routine. Give it a try for sure!

It is helping me. Shock. My Kitty scratched my face and 2 treatments and ointment and I don't even have a scar. I'm in my 70's with thin skin. I wish it had a better way to secure it. But, heck, if it works, use it!

PROS- I have a healthy skin barrier but my skin leans dry and the mask works for me. I had some peeling after the first use. I wasn’t discouraged. It told me the mask was working and increasing cell turnover, rapidly. Every mask includes a card with the details of production for your specific mask. This was a nice touch that felt like true luxury. The mask fits nicely and I like how it goes under the chin and is large enough to cover my face and hairline. The auto timer is a great feature and the weight of the mask sits nicely on my skin. I like how flexible and durable the mask is. CONS- As many others have noted, the HAIRS on the mask! I noticed this is not animal hair this is from the Velcro straps SHEDDING. Unfortunately this is one of my biggest complaints of the mask. I wish the straps were higher quality so they didn’t shed all over the place. I noticed the shedding going down after the second use so I hope it stops eventually. I also had a lot of trouble figuring out the straps as it wasn’t intuitive to me at all. Thankfully the company has a video but it wasn’t in the instruction manual so I had to pull out my phone and search the Amazon page for instructions. I feel the user experience was lacking there. I also feel the manual could have provided more information and detail about the mask and potential side effects, and skin care after using the mask. It kind of leaves you wondering, what next? Thankfully with some google research I was able to find a routine that works well for me. With a couple tweaks to the user experience, and straps this is a 5 star mask! Overall this is a great mask that is powerful and very comfortable!!!
