This is a must if you’re using the solo stove in a wood deck, not because the bottom gets too hot (as long as you’re sitting it on the little ring it comes with), but because you can’t have embers falling out from the top and onto the deck. It works great and folds away when not being used.

Love this matI use it on my sharkcoated patio and it keeps it clean. I do recommend removing it after each use as it does leave a stain if left too long
