Review: Having a good knife makes all the difference! - We bought a bread maker a few years ago - liked the results, but always struggled to cut thin enough slices - net result, the bread maker got stored away and not used. Problem is, when buying sliced bread, you seem to only be able to get this terrible thick stuff that we personally hate. So the bread maker comes out and we try AGAIN. Having bought various 'gadgets' that claim to make slicing bread a 'doddle' (and also having consigned these to the store cupboard or the recycling centre), the time came to just buy a decent knife and get on with the job! . THIS KNIFE IS EXCELLENT! No other way to describe it - it is razor sharp and we find it very easy to cut nice thin slices of bread, even when the bread is freshly baked and still warm. The handle, though made from resin/plastic is very sturdy and comfortable and the knife itself we find well balanced - the blade is non stick, quite long and therefore great for slicing larger loaves. After reading other reviews and still being hesitant to buy at first, this knife has been a real game changer and is highly recommended to anyone - just be really careful when using, cleaning and storing it away, as it is absolutely RAZOR sharp! - but then again - that's what you need it to be, isn't it?

**Q: Can this knife be used for left handed people**
A: the bevels on the serrated edge are only one side but a left handed person in our household has cut bread with her left hand.

A: I find this bread knife brilliant never had one as good as this I use it cut everything not just bread.It is solid as a rock and does not bend nor veer to one side. You will never regret buying this knife.

**Q: My blade is single bevel ground only, not double bevelled as stated in product description.Am I misreading product description ?**
A: You are right, it is described as double bevelled. In their own words : "It receives a final grinding by an experienced and skilled craftsman. The angle of the blade grinding (14 degrees on each side; double-bevelled) is crucial in relation to the superior performance of the knife. "

A: I gave it a present to a restaurant owner abroad, he likes it. I expect around 25 cm.

Long long blades mean that you can chop off pretty much anything big so easily . I had tried a watermelon and sourdough breads . Allright . This one is awesome. Bought this after reading review online (not on Amazon - magazine review) and it cuts through any soft or sourdough loaf so well. Allows you to keep slices even and no squashing of the loaf to cut slices
