Sound seemed particularly brittle, which I guess is a consequence of the digital processing. Not that pleasing to my ear compared to a similar Boss unit I have. It does have four foot switches, a lot of effects, and does work, so two stars from that, but really didn't deliver on the promise of connectivity and ease of modification. The big issue for me is I was unable to get the software to connect to the device and emails to support went unanswered. I probably invested two to three hours, across three different computers to try to get it to connect but no dice. Can't even upgrade the firmware. I was looking forward to being able to adjust and share mods, but alas that is not to be. Windows also flagged the software as potential spyware which did not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. And of course I threw out the box once I got it so not going to be able to return (lesson learned). I have a feeling it's going to be gathering dust for a long while. UPDATE: After posting this review, Mooer reached out to me (but never replied to my support request emails...). The latest software update (GE150 Plus/Pro V2.1.2 Update (2026.4.23)) now works, and I was able to update the firmware and connect to the software, so now have full functionality. Still very sensitive to hum - some presets are very noisy, sounds like 60hz hum, but others are very quiet. Still deserves a 5 star given the amazing about of flexibility in tone modification for the price. If I were a performing musician I'd definitely want something with cleaner sound, but for my purposes it's well worth the money now that the software works.

This has been my first multi effects pedal I’ve ever used, and I’ve been having a blast. I was looking for a beginner product in this price range, and I’m glad I went with the GE150. There’s a huge range of sounds, and plenty of adjustability for all of them. The built in tuner and looper is great. I do wish the looping capabilities were better, but for the price point it does the job.

Guitar&bass player for 50 years - this pedal amazed me! The variation of tones and effects is fantastic. Plug it into a straight power amp and you're in there. Run it into the house system with nothing in between or add more effects in the chain. It really nails the sound of many iconic amps and pedals. Plus, you can download more. From Plexi to Brit AC's, and cool jazz. It's lots of fun and really nails those famous sounds. The expression pedal is small, but works ok. The only negative is the instructions that are included. They are very Spartan in explaining all that this pedal can do. You will need a clipboard and pencil to keep track of your favorite settings as there are so many "tweaks" that can be done. But, wow! It saves a fortune on buying amps and pedals. You can easily gig with this pedal straight into the house system or DI into a mixer board. Very nice item to have in the kit. Power supply was included.

Update: Mac users beware. Notification received that Mooer Intel software will no longer be supported with next Mac OS update. Mooer is not responding to this issue. If not resolved this review will be changed to 1 Star. This thing is awesome. Im more of an Analog player but now have the option to do both using this into a Quilter Direct Amp. Very easy to use and program. I would have like to see the tap tempo button as a foot switch but it's not a deal breaker for me. Also empty slots to store my own settings, however there are a lot of useless programs the I believe are for example only that can be over written. I've single use pedals that cost more than this and will be using this to gig. Great value for the money. Don't hesitate.

honestly bought this since I am new to learning guitar and just wanted to achieve the sounds of some of my favorite artists, which it did that. I finally went to see if I can download software or firmware for it which it is on their website. I downloaded it and ran it and instantly my computer was frozen. I turned it off immediately. I rebooted to make sure it was not just my computer and it was not, I no longer can use any of my peripherals such as keyboards and mice which i tried several different ones. It changed my lock screen when my pc boots up so I am assuming it is some sort of malware. Very disappointed as the product seemed promising. From other reviews I have not seen others have these issues but I have a pretty decent gaming PC and also have worked in IT for quite sometime now and this is not normal for a application to just brick my pc instantly like this.

This is a great sounding device! Many different amp simulations like a JCM800, Fender Twin Reverb, or EVH 5150 and to choose from. Combine them with lots of speaker cabinet simulations. Sounds like you have a killer rig but don't have to carry one around. Nice sounding effects too. I returned the first one I bought because it would not connect to the software on my computer, but this one does. IMPORTANT - Follow these steps: Download and install the specific software for the device but DON'T RUN IT YET. Download the manual. Turn on the device FOR THE FIRST TIME in update mode - The manual tells you how. Then connect it to the computer via USB. Count 20-30 seconds. Open the software and it should recognize the device from that point on.

It's a tool, so treat it as such. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to get it so that I could hear the sounds, and when I did, ouch. Make sure if you're wearing headphones when testing this out, have the volume turned down. Mine was at full volume. My bad. Anywho... this thing is an absolute tone monster. I have no plans to hook it to my computer. I read some reviews where folks had serious issue with that. As for tones and effects and amp models... it puts my matribox to shame. This thing kicks hard, and I haven't even plugged it in to my amp yet. For me, it was money well spent. Got it at sale price and I don't have any regrets. Everyone has different perspectives and I get it. Some got flawed equipment that didn't deliver. Fortunately, I was not one of them. if anything should change and mine goes turns into a pile of junk, I will definitely update this review. For now, however... I have no complaints.

I am very happy I purchases this. I bought as it there was a deep sale, what did I have to lose. I plat Twin/800,900/JC120 and that's it. Over the years I have had Peavey stack, Marshall tube, Randall, MX5 and Fender Mustang products. The Ge150Pro sounds great, I really like it as it sounds a bit more realistic to me. I practice and goof around with a modeler while wearing headphones, no other experience with modelers. I enjoy the sound more than the MX5. Limited settings but the PC editor is nice. I don't want to engineer the sound. This keeps it simple, sounds nice... again I am pleasantly surprised

Llegó bien y en tiempo, estoy iniciando a practicar y el sonido me pareció bien, apesar de que la moldura es de plástico se ve resistente y estético, es ligero. Tuve la oportunidad de practicar antes con una pedalera doner arena y no logré tener el sonido que buscaba, tengo una Stratocaster Fender, sin embargo con esta pedalera lo conseguí

A great variety of sounds and effects...and easy to use

Excellent produit. Les presets (200) sont facile à programmer, les sons sont excellents et la prise usb fonctionne dans les deux sens (ça envoie le son à l'ordinateur ET reçoit les sont de celui-ci, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas chez certains autres produits dont la prise usb ne sert qu'à l'enregistrement et non au playback. De plus, j'apprécie le fait que le logiciel qu'on peut télécharger fonctionne sur ordinateur et non pas seulement sur celluaire.

Es excelente!!! De verdad que es una herramienta fundamental para un guitarrista, tal cual viene de fábrica es muy funcional y se puede usar sin más complicaciones para guitarristas no tan experimentados. Sin embargo, si tienes conocimiento de cómo hacer tus propios presets, puedes hacerlos y acomodarlos en función de los cuatro pedales A,B,C,D e incluso le quieres agregar "IR" de terceros (Mooer usa sus propios archivos que son capturas GNR, desde solo el preamp del ampli o capturas de amplificador, cabina y micrófono en un solo paquete "entero). Por el precio es un baratísimo, ya que puedes conseguir hacer sonidos muy buenos, útiles en el entorno real e incluso para trabajos profesionales. Siempre tomando en cuenta que son las manos las que tocan, ojo con eso... También pueden darle una vista a los GS1000, que se está comparando con otros modelos de otras marcas que cuestan el triple o más.
