The PEX-A pipes expand and contract as water freezes within the pipe making PEX-A pipes more resistant to burst pressure in freezing temperatures. The flexibility of PEX-A pipes allows the end to be fluted prior to inserting the fitting to accommodate expansion style fittings which provide less flow restriction and can increase water pressure where needed. Composed of strong and sturdy plastic polymer, this plastic hose tubing is built to last, features a 3 month UV resistance, and is the highest rated for chlorine resistance. Perfect for potable hot and cold water lines, this PEX-A piping is approved for use with PEX expansion (F1960), push to connect (ASSE 1061), plastic crimp (ASTM F2159), and brass crimp (ASTM F1807) fittings. These PEX-A coils feature a minimum working temperature of 33 degrees F at 160 PSI, a maximum working temperature 200 degrees F at 80 PSI, and a maximum working pressure is 160 PSI at 33 degrees F to 70 degrees F. Review: Don’t use with sharkbite fittings. - The coating added to the tubing can peal apart which sometimes causes trouble with leaks when using sharkbite fittings.
