Baxton Studio Elyse Walnut Wood Grey Fabric Upholstered Footstool

In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting much from an online assemble yourself product besides functionality and I hoped the color wouldn’t clash with my couch. It was easy to assemble, much sturdier than I expected, and the color is nearly spot on for what I needed. I’m very happy and my only complaint is I wish I could buy another! Sadly, I think this was the last one in stock. Regardless, glad to have it and may consider other products from this manufacturer.

This is a great, easy-to-assemble footstool. It came undamaged and securely packaged. I also have an armchair from Baxton Studio (BBT8013 in grey), and this footstool matches it in fabric color, which is great. The wood color, however, is slightly different in shade but not so different that it's noticeable unless you're looking.

Shipment was fast. Puts together easily and is very sturdy!

It's a good stool, but look out. One of the holes designed to insert a wood peg was threaded for a screw meaning not only would the peg not fit, but also the screw would not secure the side piece in place. Luckily the threading was inserted with a hex shaped tool and I was able to unscrew the threading and put it into the correct hole. If I didn't have a fancy socket wrench kit, I would not have been able to assemble this simple foot stool. Aside from this issue, it is sturdy and looks lovely.

Just needed a little something for a dead spot in the living room (and wanted to hide an outlet there too). The height and width of this piece was just perfect and really gives a "finished look" to the room. The mid-century modern style blends with any decor, the wood and fabric are both neutral enough even for just about any setting. This piece will also be used as an ottoman for the couch as needed. So it is both beautiful and functional. I fell in love with the photo and could not get this piece out of my head...nothing else I saw would compare. AND the price is amazing for a piece of this quality as well.

This footstool/bench, is just the perfect size I wanted. Fits great with my couch. Very sturdy and well made. The wood on it is beautiful and the seat area has very nice fabric. I use it all the time. Would highly recommend.

The product itself is okay, not great, but okay. Some of the dowel rods were damaged, not a big deal, but also one of the legs had a quality issue - screw area was damaged, looked like it was not set in the wood the same depth as the others. Also, where the two pieces of wood met on the part of the leg you see was inconsistent from one leg to the other - the other leg had no ridge where the parts meet, it was flat. Just a lot of inconsistency overall. The pad was quite hard as well. I just did not think it was worth the money so I decided to return it... And this my real issue with this item... trying to return this was a NIGHTMARE! This is not sold by Amazon, my bad for not looking closer. You initiate the return, get an immediate reply telling you to wait for another email with a return authorization which took a day or so. Then they tell you that you cannot return it without a shipping AND restocking fee if the reason for your return is simply that you do not like it. Lots of back and forth showing the minor damage and inconsistenties in the legs, they offered to give me a discount to keep it which I was not interested in, packing and unpacking and packing it up again to take multiple photos they kept requesting, they sent my photos to the "warehouse" and came back and said there was nothing wrong with it and they would send replacement parts. I fussed some more, they made me another offer to keep it, I said no, it is damaged, and they FINALLY relented and gave me a full refund. This went on for several days over a $68 footstool! This is 90% of the reason for my low review. 10% of the reason was the quality/value of the actual product.

I bought this for a footrest and it works very well. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. I am really happy with the midcentury modern look of it. Worth every penny!
