I unfold the panels around 7 AM and fold them up at 6 PM. I’m honestly astonished. You can also add more batteries or panels, including rooftop or array setups. Jackery connected me with an installer. The first quote was $3,000 but they wouldn’t install it where I wanted, so I paid closer to $5,000 to have it installed in a tight space with a surge protector. Totally worth it—this system is pretty freaking cool. This generator is everything they claim and more. Being a Florida residence will get you a full refund on your sales tax , and a 30% credit on your federal.

It’s a well made product and is easy to set up the basic system. They advertise it as a whole home system but reality is unless you’re using it for a tiny house the system will need a couple of additional backup batteries and a professional electrician to install the transfer switch. The system is heavy but the wheels and extendable handle make it manageable on flat ground.

I love the idea of solar. No noise, no fumes. No worries if the pumps are closed. If we run out of Sun, we have bigger problems. Using on regular days to charge all the battery-operated tools/vacuums, etc. I haven’t connected to the house because I’ll be selling soon and plan to take this with me to next address.

The Jackery does not hold the charge as long as it says. But other than that we live on it when we go to our vacation home in Maine. It’s easy to use and convenient.
