Rock solid, reliable, and high quality plug ends. Can't go wrong - no need to spend more.
Built very well and so easy to get your cable connected and ready for use. No tools needed. I had the same experience with spade and banana connectors - excellent product. The audioquest models have flashier packaging and a much higher price - these are very good. I have multiple cable runs with different cable using these and spares just in case.

Excellent heavy duty spade connectors, works well with 10 to 18 gauge speaker wire
My audio speakers allow 2 options for connecting speaker wire - either wire-wrap or use spade connectors. I decided to go with spade connectors since that provides a cleaner and stronger connection. I looked at several different product options including AudioQuest which many consider the best when it comes to connectors. I decided to give the Swell spade connectors a try since they appeared well made based on my research and significantly easier on my budget. I wasn’t disappointed by my decision. These connectors are very well made and heavy duty, but they are large (see photo) and will not work for all applications due to the space requirements. For example they were too large for my receiver (not enough clearance to accommodate their size), but with a little finesse ended up working well with the binding posts on my speakers (see photo). These connectors will work well with 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 gauge speaker wire using the self crimping teeth which securely fastens the speaker wire to the connector. Connecting your speaker wire to these plugs is pretty straight forward and takes 5 steps: 1- Unscrew and remove the bottom cap of the spade connector. 2- Strip approximately 13-14 mm (~1/2 inch) of the insulation jacket from the end of the speaker wire exposing the bare copper conductor. 3- Feed the bare wire through the bottom hole of the bottom cap until they protrude beyond the teeth of the bottom cap. 4- Bend the copper strands of the speaker wire down around the teeth of the bottom cap. 5- Screw the top of the connector (the gold plated spade portion) back onto the bottom cap securely.

Good speaker lugs
Let’s face it, banana jacks largely are not secure enough for high end audio equipment. These solved that problem. No crimpers needed or special hex tools. I knocked off one star because instead of 4 pair of connectors (2 speaker cables both ends). You have to buy 6 pair. I could understand anything in groups of 4 or 8 pair, but six is just odd (unless it’s for a center channel on a surround system).

Well Made

These are the spades you were looking for
Dang... First, let me say that these are beastly. I mean, really. Each plug is about the size of my thumb. The forks of the spade are thicker than the tangs of my dinner forks. These might male a heavier duty connection than what's on my car's battery terminals. So I don't know if I would feel comfortable using these on anything beyond a stereo receiver at the receiver side. Once you've got a few pairs of these going on, I'd be concerned with making contact with the other plugs. Know your install, and know what you're trying to do. I wanted these for my speaker connections as Klipsch closed up the back end of the binding post, making banana plugs a bit awkward. These were easy to assemble, held fast when the cable was tugged, and has enough metal to ensure a solid connection. Pros: - Big and heavy - Easy to figure out and assemble - Holds tightly to the cable - Accepts large gauge wire and jackets - Really nice looking Cons: - Big and heavy - Metallic casing , so you need to be careful where you use these so you don't damage your amplifier. All in all, these are fantastic if you know what you're doing with these. If you're looking for spade plugs, these are well worth the money and are actually priced reasonably. I've only assembled the cables so far, but I'll try to update post-install. ------------------------------ - Yamaha RX-775WA receiver - 2x Klipsch RF82 II - 14AWG copper stage speaker cable, these at one end, Sewell Silverback bananas at the other. - 46" Samsung LCD, 9' seating distance :) - Sony Blu-Ray Player

Great connection, the 30-degree angle is a lifesaver
These spade plugs are excellent. The 30-degree angle makes a huge difference when connecting speakers in tight spaces or near walls. The build quality is solid, and they provide a very secure and clean connection for the speaker wires. Installation was straightforward and didn't require any special tools. Great value for a 6-pair pack

They do not fit onto my speakers.............
I used them made a pair of bi-wire speaker cables. They are good and fit to my a pair of low/mid end speakers. I wanted to try them on my two pair B&W speakers, 700's and 800's series. They do not fit onto the posts, the openings are too small. So I cannot use them on my B&W speakers. I am not certain if there is an industrial standard, but they do not fit B&W speakers, which are pretty common high-end speakers. I am somewhat disappointed.....

Perfect connectors for my needs
I used these on the ends of some monoprice 12 awg in-wall speaker wire. The Sewell Deadbolt connector quality was great for the cost, and they were quick to install. I used the heavy spades at the speakers and the banana type on the integrated amplifier and all connections were very secure. In my opinion there is no reason to pay more for quality connectors on any mid-range to high-end audiophile system. I made sure the wire was stripped uniformly at all terminations and the finished product looks great. I would definitely recommend the Sewell deadbolt connectors to others looking for a well made and sturdy feeling connection.

Was very impressed with these spades. Very heavy, solid and of good construction. Made speaker cables with 12awg 4 conductor so they're able to take 9awg or even 8 awg. Quick and easy to install with a very sturdy connection. Would purchase again foresure!

Como he podido tener toda mi vida la conexión con los altavoces sin este adaptador? Sujeción fantástica. Rosca de alta calidad. Precio muy competitivo. Sin problemas con el envío. El packaging se reduce a una bolsa protectora (suficiente).

Amazingly simple to install, and make a very secure connection. The connectors are quite chunky and give a clear impression of solidity. They fit perfectly on the post connectors of speakers (the ones in which you can usually insert a 4 mm banana jack or bare wire). Beware to use reasonably chunky multi-strand wire (I used 2.50 mm2 one, approx 13 AWG) as otherwise the wire might be quite loose inside and could break off if twisted around.

Very easy to use with 12 gauge wire and form a tight joint that does not come apart.

Exactly like the Monster ones, but a fraction of the cost. Solid, simple design.
