Great product for the price.
Great product for the price. I wanted a dedicated music player to use at work, so I wasn’t using up my phone battery streaming music. This little gadget has gone above and beyond for me. It lasts an entire 7-8 hour work day while I stream music and listen to podcasts. I appreciate that the product comes with a pair of wired earbuds, but I prefer to pair with my AirPods for a better listening experience and so I’m not tethered to the device. I highly recommend!

Not user friendly and gets VERY HOT!!
Where do I start- bought this and a 1 TB sd card. The plan was to put my ancient iPod onto a new device. Software is crap and even with the ton of space available lots of the music was not showing up on the device. When I took the sd card out and looked at it on the laptop it was there but not on the device. I had certain albums that I selected to check on the device and the card when I put it in my laptop. Transferring music isn’t obvious I spent hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I spent HOURS copying my music onto the as card first and then trying to get it to show up with the album picture etc. if you are just downloading music off of apps I’m sure this is fine but not for what I needed. I deleted off many of the apps. That came on the device. Which you can bring back with a factory reset but that will whipe everything on the device. I had to google how to do it. Two of the methods didn’t work. I did that after I couldn’t get my music to load properly. While I was trying to figure things out the device got VERY HOT. I would not recommend letting your kid fall asleep listening to it in bed, keep on a cool surface. It was alarming how hot it got both in my hand and with it sitting on my work table. I ended up returning it and getting a refund due to the difficulty of getting my music on to it, less than helpful customer service. If you are doing strictly streamed music then this would probably work for you but not for someone that has a large amount of music to load onto it. I thought with the 1 TB of space it would run fast and I’d have plenty of room to add more music. It just isn’t up to the task. The sound wasn’t great, sounded cheap and tinny. Never used the earphones or the radio function. I contacted support about the files not transferring over and missing files and they didn’t really address anything I mentioned. A few screen shots were sent late at night of things that I had figured out on my own by the time they got back to me. I would not recommend because of the software and the fact it got very hot which I wouldn’t recommend for kids.

Not quite what I thought
Pros: handy device to stream audio, comes with Pandora, Spotify, and Audible pre installed. I haven't gotten around to loading saved music onto it yet, so I can't speak to that process. Cons: parental controls. I bought two of these for my boys (11 and 13) who are both music obsessed but in different genres. I wanted to have a distraction-free device they could listen to without asking for laptop time or turning to YouTube to watch music videos when they're supposed to be doing schoolwork or other things. For the first few days for them (Christmas break) it was bliss, because I was trying to figure out how to use the darn thing and they had the ability to play online games and watch videos. What I eventually discovered is that yes, you can sign in with your Google account. (And when my 11 year old did, it no longer allowed him to watch YouTube videos.) But other than that, I couldn't get it to connect to my family link account that I use to manage their Chromebooks. So, no ability to place time limits or limit app access, other than the overall timer on the device itself. Maybe I was reading the wrong reviews, because I looked at several of these devices, but I was under the impression that I could add additional apps, such as Hoopla, to access our library content. The problem is, the player does not have Google Play Store, nor can you download Google Play, and without it you can't download any other apps. So that was a bust. I finally decided to take the brave step of just deleting Chrome completely, knowing I could (probably) never get it back, because I don't want them to have unfettered internet access. And, honestly, it's better that way. Now it's used for its intended purpose: music. I just wish I could have installed the library apps we use for audiobooks. Other than that, it's a great little player. The built-in speaker is a nice feature but not great quality. It pairs well with their inexpensive JBL Bluetooth headphones so I don't have to hear all their music.

Probably good for kids, not good for adults
It's not 80GB. It only has 16GB internal storage and comes with a 64GB micro SD card, making it 80GB. You can, however, add plenty of storage with a larger micro SD card. When I first started using it, I deleted the bloat software and apps, but later found that you can't download any other apps to it, or restore any apps you delete, and the only way to get them back is to do a factory reset. I also tried connecting this to my truck via Bluetooth, but the Bluetooth on the device kept stopping. Constantly. And it kept giving an on-screen error that kept me from being able to do anything else with it. Thus, I'm returning it.

Beware , but fun!
I'm probably naive, but I didn't know that this had any apps other than music players and reader apps ( kindle, audible etc.). It came pre loaded with Facebook and Google Chrome as a web browser. I got it for my 9 year old and we don't allow our young kids to have unsupervised access to the internet. The first thing he did was go to YouTube! So we talked about why we don't allow it. Thankfully there isn't a playstore or similar thing and you can uninstall any apps. Now he can keep it and has access to music and the ability for us to show him how to download music. Bc we have Spotify account, he was able to listen to music with his earbuds on a recent trip, just like his brothers on his own device. He also liked being able to do his chores while listening to music like his brothers. Ultimately it does what we hoped it would, just be aware that those apps are on it if your not looking for them in a music player for kids.

Excellent alternative to a cell phone when all you want is music.
This works extremely well. My daughter downloads music from Spotify when she has access to wifi. Then she easily connects her wireless headphones and away she goes. It’s great for kids who shouldn’t have access to all that a cell phone has to offer. Super easy and intuitive.

Great gift for my 10Year old
My daughter wanted her own music player and this one has been great. Only had it a week so time Will tell but so far it exceeded our expectations - she was excited that it has a chrome app so she can also search the internet and watch YouTube

Good
Small but perfectly formed. It works well at the gym. It doesn't like to connect to more modern Bluetooth headphones though. It prefers the cheaper ones. Not that I am complaining. It is easy to navigate albeit a bit basic which is good for me being in my 60's and not that tech savvy. Haven't used the Wi-Fi bit other than sending music to it via one drive. If you are looking for a cheaper gadget that is easy to use then give this a go.

Inconsistent quality!
This unit is the worst player i have ever had. Which is crazy because my husband has the same one in his shop that works perfectly. When we use mine in his shop it skips and buffers like crazy making it impossible to use. We assumed it was our internet at my office causing the issue then when we traded mine for his the issue followed the player. so IT IS NOT the WiFi it is the unit. AND of course I am beyond the time limit to return.

My iPod is still king
I have a very very old iPod, and was looking for something newer, so I decided to give this a try. Unlike my iPod, this one runs android. I have to admit that I am a bit of an apple fanboy, so using android was a new experience for me. This player is bigger and heavier than my iPod, and has a micro DS slot, which means it potentially has more storage. This is convenient if you have a lot of files that you want to store on it. Accessing the storage is easy. It is compatible with window’s computers and works just like any flash drive, so transferring files is simple. It runs android apps so you can install your favourites. It has the usual networking options such as wifi and Bluetooth, giving more options for transferring files. It comes with cheap earbuds, but like any other music player you can use any earbuds or headphones that you want to. I couldn’t get it to play properly in my car using a USB cable. That might be because I am unfamiliar with the android system, or maybe my car’s entertainment system. When I plugged it in it just played one album and greyed out the others. Trying to play using the player itself just resulted in it using the inbuilt speakers, which meant that I had two different songs playing at once. I gave it a try and just quit once it got annoying. My iPod just plugs and plays automatically. Overall this player works mostly, and has some nice features, however, I find that my old iPod is much simpler and has better audio quality. If you’re not an apple fanboy and have experience with the android operating system, then this player could work for you.
