Spot on.just what I needed

These are great for primary fermentation when you need good access when using real fruit. I'm new to this, and already my first lesson learned is the complications of real fruit when determining removal time and the pain of blocked syphon when first racking. I'm thinking I should maybe extract the juice from the fruit with a liquidiser and filter into the vessel, which I guess would make these wide brims less useful. But if fruit is going in, these are the ticket.

THESE ARE VERY HEAVY, SOLID AND LARGE. THEY HAVE A WIDE NECK SO ARE EASY TO CLEAN. THE AIRLOCKS WORK WELL AND THE THICK GLASS HOLDS IN HEAT WELL FOR FERMENTATION. VERY GOOD QUALITY.

Fantastic!! I recently purchased and took delivery of this pair set of fermentation jars. There were no issues whatsoever, and the jars were very adequately packaged. I have started making sourkraut and apple cider vinegar for a family of six grownups, and these jars are proving to be ideal for my current requirements. I initially started off with two 5 litre plastic buckets, but as I very much prefer glass or ceramic for edible items, I decided to sample these glass jars. Personally, for the modest thickness of the glass, this is the largest size of these jars that I would be comfortable with. For what it is, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and easily recommend it.

I bought 3 packs over two deliveries. Most were cracked at the base. Good product, apart from that issue.

Sehr gutes Fermentierglas. Wer eine große Menge zu fermentieren hat, ist mit diesen Gläsern gut beraten, vor allem fermentiertes Kraut lässt sich darin super machen.
