This product is so well made it blows me away. I thought the fibers would Frey too much..l they don't. When you cut them to size, be sure to take a lighter to them to burn the ends down a bit to seal them off, when I did this the ends sealed so well and were very smoother for our project. We needed this to be the case since the look and feel of them was very important for our product to be sell able. Very well made. Our project looks like it was purchase off the shelf by a refined company with much longevity.

This stuff works well to keep wires bundled together and makes projects look professional. As the title says, this is made from polyethylene, a type of flexible plastic. It probably wouldn't hold up well in a really hot environment (in contact with a car engine, for instance). When you cut it, the ends fray, but a few seconds with a lighter will melt the individual strands together. It is easy to run wires through this if you know the trick... just push inward from both ends and this will expand, then slide the wires through. It expands to twice its nominal dimension, so figure out how big you need the wires to be, and make sure the connectors will fit through twice the diameter. One more thing -- I inadvertently slid a finger all the way in to this before I realized this is essentially a really effective Chinese finger trap. I had to cut it to get it off my finger.

Works well
Used this wrap speaker wire for speakers to my computer that I have connected to small amp. I didn't have to worry this time about ends fraying because I used heat shrink. In other projects a hot knife always works best to avoid fraying when cutting.

Waste
This mesh is garbage. Very loose braid. Falls apart when sliding on to wires.

good finish, but the ends fray
good finish, but the ends fray, so you have to pre-cut and burn with a lighter (or use a hot knife). It doesn't return to it's original size so it looks a little lumpy.

It works.
It did what I needed it to. It frays if you don't burn the edges.

Makes the job look neat.
I used this for wiring running lights in an old boat and it makes the job look so much more professional that just taping or twisting the wires. Great quality and great price make for a no-brainer!

Love this stuff but you really need a cut-off iron
Love this stuff but you really need a cut-off iron like comes in some electric and butane soldering guns to cut this tubing and keep it from fraying. Also I recommend you use wire wraps on each end to hold it place and keep it from unraveling. If going over plugs or unions you can stretch the opening a bit using a ballpoint pen which helps get it started and getting the wiring out of the other end.
