Great buy
Super happy with this light. As soon as you take it out of the box you can see and feel the quality in the build. I keep mine in my tool pouch and is always being pulled out and used. Purchased one for one of my employees, and he absolutely loves his as well. The battery life on full charge is crazy long. The magnet is sufficiently strong and won't fall. Super bright. Could not be more pleased. Only slight flaw is that it could be a little heavy if used as head lamp. But the quality, battery life, magnet, and brightness make up for that ten times over. I forgot to mention, these are durable also. I had dropped one by my driveway; it laid in the snow for probably a week and still works great. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!!

Versatile, small, and powerful
This light is the bomb. Heckin' good. It'll cost ya a pretty penny, but it performs. Been loving it for both hunting and for work (in ceiling/attic spaces, under stages/in crawlspaces, wiring/soldering/cable management behind racks and just in generally poorly lit closets or other spaces, etc). The battery is long lasting, the footprint is small, the magnet on the tail end of the light is strong, I appreciate that the housing is made from metal and not plastic, and I love the multiple white light settings plus the bright & dim red light settings. The red light settings have been particularly great for dark walks out to the deer blind or tree stand, or early mornings in the parking lot loading gear into the little fishing boat before heading out for waterfowl -not to mention the red light settings can be sustained for an absolutely crazy length of time. Jokes have been made about unleashing the power of the sun when using this on its brightest setting, but that extra bit of brightness really does light up a patch of ground in the woods almost as though it's daylight, which is *great* if ever there's a need for tracking your quarry after sundown and if the trail is sparse. Another thing I really appreciate is the right angle position of the head, since it allows me to clip the light to a shoulder strap or a loop on a backpack or harness (just like like how an old MX991/U flashlight clips onto an ALICE harness) for another hands free option if I don't feel like using the headband to strap the light directly to my head. Note: do compare the charts Olight provides regarding how long different brigtnesses can be sustained. Comparing the outputs and sustained brightnesses of different models really helped me settle on this one (as well as the red light feature, which was something I was specifically looking for, and wish more lights provided) and I have no regrets for it. The brightest setting on any of these can only be sustained for so long and then automatically steps down primarily for cooling purposes, as running too hot for too long could cause damage.

1 Year of use update: still going strong.
Great light worth every Penny. Tough and easy to use. I had one before this, but my car was broken into and it got stolen. So I bought another one march 2025. It's doing great. Daily exposure to harsh chemicals greases and a high drops and falls has not killed it yet. The new headband design is amazing and clips in very easy. Light modes are easy to learn and the proximity sensor is useful in certain instances it's very nice that it's able to be disabled as well. Good water resistance. Easily fits in a pocket or in your glove box but has plenty of power and battery life.

Very bright headlamp/flashlight with excellent battery life
Loving this light. Works as a fladhlight as well as a headlamp. Super bright with a good size rechargeable battery that can be replaced with the correct unit. Only issue i have found so far is when wearing as headlamp it is kind of heavy but I write that off as the large battery and sturdy metal construction. Did I mention the headband holder is also metal along with the light?

These are robust!
I have two of these now and they’re great. I love olights and will continue to purchase more. These things are built like a tank and the magnetic charging makes it easy to just keep it on the charger always charged for emergencies. I use this for working on things and my wife uses it to run. It’s expensive, sure, but you get what you pay for. Olight doesn’t disappoint.

Super Bright For Short Distance
Love Olight! Great products, and in several ways much better than my other 'big name' lights. I really like this headlamp for its versatility, design, and quality. The red light settings are a big plus, especially if you're hunting or fishing at night, and it really lights up whatever is in front of you. But that's also the one flaw that kept me from giving it 5 stars. It literally floods the area in front of you with bright light, but it doesn't go far. There really is no concentration of the light like you get with a spotlight... it just lights up the area directly in front of you (50-75 yards) but not much beyond. I used this for nighttime flounder fishing off the beach and while it lit up the immediate area nicely, I couldn't see anything actually down the beach. So just understand what it can and can't do, and decide if it would meet your needs.

Love it!
It's a little bit heavy but very bright. I use this headlamp almost every day to walk down a greenway path in predawn hours and launch a row boat (1x scull). I also row with it on so I can be seen in the dark. I've used it in the rain and it has even taken a dunk in the lake. Still working great. The grippy silicone on the headband kept it on my head when I flipped the boat. The battery life is great and I love the magnetic charger connection. I would NOT recommend this headlamp for runners because of its weight. For that, I would get one of OLIGHT's smaller models, maybe the Prerun 2. They're still plenty bright for running and a lot smaller/lighter. The Prerun 3 is better suited for camping, projects, cycling, rowing, or anything where you're not bouncing up and down like running.

Shine Like the Sun
This light is very bright and has many different settings. It does what you would expect an olight to do. If you’re camping and backpacking go for the smaller version. I use this for utility work and for camping but it is a little heavy. it also needs the top head strap. overall very satisfied.
