Review: Excellent for rugged home-use. - From earlier reviews I had some trepidation about using this for my existing 12/3 cable. Sturdiness and ability to evenly wrap the wire onto the roll was in question. Let me say I now have have no misgivings about either. I had absolutely no problem wrapping my "Yellow Jacket" 12/3 100 footer onto this spool. Well, only one problem: the little restraining snap that originally holds the 1ft connecting cable onto the spool sort of got in the way when winding my 100 foot wire, so I removed it temporarily and finished the loading of the cable. Snapped back in place when done and clipped my newly wrapped cable onto this clip and all was well. I initially decided to avoid trying to do a 'neat' wrap as that was never going to happen after the first use anyway, but this didn't cause any problems with getting the entire 100 foot line onto the spool. It may look a little 'ragged' but all the wire fits securely within the spool boundary and does not interfere with unspooling. All-in-all a good value. Given I'm graduating to using spools from the old random coil (or the better 'weaving') for cable storage, this was a cost-effective way to go this next step. I am puzzled about the slim availability of thes 'use your own cable' spools, though. desertcart was the only reasonably-priced vendor of these, but the nice Prime shipping was a big plus. I wouldn't rate these as truly 'industrial' for every day use, but for reasonably rugged home use, they are perfect. Definitely recommended.
Review: No more kinks in your cord - This is just what I needed to keep me from stressing out when using my leaf blower. It’s easy to wind up. It’s just heavy enough that it won’t top all over when you pull the cord. I wish I had gotten one of these years ago. It’s going to save me so much time When I put up my equipment no more knots and kinks in my electrical.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the center section turn when you reel up the cord**
A: Yes it does.

**Q: Can this handle something that needs 15amps like a tile saw?**
A: No, this product is designed to handle 10 amps.

**Q: What is the wire gauge of the cord?**
A: 14 gauge.

**Q: How well does it handle cold below 15 degrees weather?**
A: The stand is metal, so there is no problem there. I would guess that the walls of the spool portion could become brittle in real cold weather. It's in the 20's right now where I am and I bent it and it was still flexible.
