I work in an addiction treatment center, and we use the book Let Them frequently with our residents to help support them in their recovery and personal growth. Seeing how much it was helping others made me curious enough to start reading it myself. About halfway through the book, one of our residents needed a copy, so I gave up the one I was borrowing. That alone says a lot about how impactful this book is. Even only halfway through, I already knew I needed my own copy because it was that helpful and relatable. I also ordered The 5 Second Rule by the same author, and that book has helped me tremendously as well. Mel Robbins is honestly one of the best self-help authors I have ever come across. Her books are practical, motivating, and easy to apply to real life situations. I love her podcasts too and highly recommend her work to anyone looking to better themselves.
