Bought these from another branch that didn't have the advertised speeds and these worked great. Was a bit thrown off when plugging it in that it asked what to do with the device like open or view the files and when I opened I noticed that it had the drivers for it built in. Genious and definately makes it a lot easier and install and work with especially when you have a computer that may not have internet access where you can't download the driver. A plus in that respect.

Plug and play, almost. The dongle asked for one of its files be executed, and a name assigned (if you don't like the default name). Then, a WiFi icon popped up at the program bar (usually lower right corner of screen, the familiar fan) for you to connect to a WiFi source of choice from the popup list. That's it! Super easy. (The card occupies a rightful place in the "control-panel>hardwares>network" lineup, if you care to look. That's reassuring.) I should mention that I also bought a similar dongle, another brand for comparison just in case, which is supposed to be easy to set up as well, what with its "self contained driver" in the dongle. Well, no wifi-fan icon, no prompts, and no entry in the hardware list - a bad sign. To me, it didn't register, or the computer didn't recognize it. I didn't bother to find out why.

Freezes up and will not "initialize" or copy the driver, anything, from my Intel MSI Thin 12VE laptop during testing. I later plugged it into my desktop tower, a Ryzen 5 3600 build, also Win11, and it works. I had to crank my 5Ghz up to high broadcast, but on 80Mhz it will pull 100mbps sufficiently. I am okay with some hiccups since it was the cheaper option. It works on the PC I intended it to, but it may not work on yours.

I've bought tons of these, they are great for giving old laptops solid networking without needing to charge labor for opening and installing a new module. Highly recommend this one for old laptops or quickly downloading wifi drivers on desktops without out of box wifi capability.

I just recently installed a TP-Link Wifi 6 access point. I was getting roughly 400 Mbps download using the built-in Wifi in my Dell Inspirion 802.11ac adapter. I installed the UGreen adapter into a USB 3 port in the laptop. The installation was really smooth (thus why it got 3 stars and not 2). I had disabled the on-board adapter to make sure there was no conflict. When I ran the same speed test, I was only getting just over 200 Mbps. I reran the test several times. I was up super early in the morning, making sure I was the only one in the house using the network. When I removed the UGreen adapter and re-enabled the on-board adapter, I was back up to the 400-ish Mbps from before. I had expected to have around 600 Mbps on the UGreen adapter (half again more). I got half the performance of the on-board adapter. I think for people with laptops where the onboard Wi-Fi has died, this could be a really good option. It is inexpensive, and it installed really easily. However, I absolutely got the exact opposite of my expectations for speed.
