Don’t know for sure, but probably 20-22 lbs. we take the seat off and battery out before easily picking it up and sitting in the backseat of our sedan. We highly recommend this scooter. So very easy to use and travel with .

How well does this ride on typical residential carpet flooring?

It will be fine. My home is all tile with area rugs. No problem at all. I did however scratch up a few baseboards. Nothing a painter can’t fix. If you need it. Use it. I also took it to an event that was all concrete. It did what it was supposed to do.

How are the breaks? Do they stop well?

The brakes work fine when I needed to stop the scooter.

What do you recommend if you would like to use this in an airport and then take it on a plane?

It should be fine as long as you let the airline know beforehand. I read they store them with the strollers, wheelchairs, etc.
