I just got this massage pillow for face-down massages, and wow, it's a game-changer! Seriously, no more awkwardly trying to breathe into a hole in the table. It's so comfortable and really lets me relax during my treatments. I love how it supports my head and neck perfectly. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a more comfortable massage experience!

I bought this pillow because I had been looking for a more comfortable way to sleep on my stomach without putting pressure on my face or neck. On top of that, my wife usually gives me back massages after long work days, so we needed something that would properly support my head while still allowing me to breathe comfortably. Honestly, I was surprised from the first use. The facial opening gives plenty of space to breathe naturally without that uncomfortable smothered feeling. It also relieves a lot of pressure from the neck and face, making it much more relaxing to stay face-down for longer periods. For massages, it has worked extremely well and made the experience way more comfortable. Another thing I really like is that the cover is removable and easy to wash, and the material feels soft and high quality. Overall, it’s been a very useful purchase both for better rest and for relaxing after a long day.

I used this for five days after having a vitrectomy (eye surgery). Worked great to keep my head in the correct position. A couple manufacturing suggestions would be to increase or add another hole on underside for ventilation. When spending 55 minutes out of every hour, for five days & nights, in this pillow, a lot of condensation builds up making your chin sore and really hot. The silky material that they give you to put on the surface where your face goes should be attached somehow with some velcro. Everytime I would lift my head up, it would stick to my face and fall off. It should also be a larger piece of material. (A note to anyone using this...you might think that it would be better to wrap the pillow with a light cloth instead of using the material provided. When I tried this, it made it very uncomfortable for my chin. Perhaps if someone has a smaller head it could work. For anyone who needs this for post surgical recovery, if you have a glass topped patio table, that is a great way to have a few minutes where you can check your phone. Works until the glass top fogs up from the condensation. Being a woman in her 60's, being on my stomach for five days straight was really tough on my back and hips. I found that if I rotated between using this pillow on the bed, then move to an inflatable mattress and then to a tabletop, it gave my back a break. It is a rough few days to get through but this pillow really made it much more tolerable. Similar feel to being on a massage table (if you have someone you can borrow a massage table from that would be a great option too for part of the day. Gave 4 stars due to need for a little more ventilation and bigger material to cover the pillow. It has a removable cover so you can take it off to wash it. Good quality foam inside the pillow and fairly firm.

Why didn't I do this sooner??? If you like getting massages and hate putting your face where others have been, get this! Very comfortable, great breathing space so your makeup isn't running down your face when you're done. Just don't forget to bring it home with you!

NOT SAFE FOR USE AFTER EYE SURGERY in spite of description that says, "Post Eye Surgery & Vitrectomy Recovery." First, this is shipped shrink-wrapped squished into a very small flat disk in a small plastic bag inside a small box, so you cannot tell what it's like until you open it up and let it fully expand. It also had a chemical smell, which you certainly don't want near your face, and who knows if that's toxic... The opening for the face is tiny--too small for an American adult's face, so you can't safely use it after eye surgery as described--the opening is simply not wide enough to accommodate your eyes and will press directly onto eyes. Once it fully expanded and we just held it up in front of husband's face, it was immediately clear this would not be safe after eye surgery--the sides would press in directly on both eyes. I cannot understand the positive reviews, and I am guessing it's another case of "bought" reviews. Sigh. Unfortunately, returning it is quite difficult because of the extreme shrink-wrap packaging. There is no way to get it back in the bag or box. I tried and tried to squeeze out the air and tape the bag, then eventually gave up and used a "space saver" vacuum bag I had--that was the only way to get it back in the product box.

I do not love this pillow to be used as a face cradle for massage on the regular bed/couch, which is why I bought it. I hate taking my massage table out to work on my husband outside of my regular work schedule so I ordered this to be able to use on our bed. This is not a comfortable pillow for massage. It is too dense for the face, and since it is completely solid, there is no place for your chin to sink into, so your head is at an awkward angle the entire time you are using it. I had a cervical fusion on C1 and C2 years ago, so I have a very tight cervical spine, and this made my neck worse. I cannot imagine in any capacity that this pillow would be good for prolonged use BUT I cannot speak for everyone. In the future, I plan on just taking my face cradle cushion and using that by itself on the bed instead of a full-on pillow like this.

Got this for my brother after his eye surgery, and it honestly made a huge difference. He had to stay face down for long periods, which is really uncomfortable, but this pillow helped a lot. The opening is well designed so there’s no pressure on the eyes or face, and he was actually able to breathe comfortably and even relax without constantly adjusting. What stood out the most is that he was actually able to sleep using it, which we didn’t expect at first. The cushion is firm enough to keep its shape but still soft where it needs to be, so it doesn’t feel too hard on the neck. It also stays stable and doesn’t slide around much. The cover is soft and removable, which made it easy to keep clean during recovery. Overall, this made a stressful situation a lot more manageable. If you or someone in your family needs to stay face down after surgery, this is definitely worth getting.

Does not have enough lift height for your face, your face still touches the bed or whatever surface you use this on. Sure it is comfortable material but it's not useable for long periods of time because your face is basically facedown on surface making it hard to breathe.

Lo compré porque a mi esposa la operaron de un ojo y la recomendación era mantenerse boca abajo, muy incómodo ya que tres meses la habían operado del otro ojo, y buscando en Amazon encontré y lo ordené ayer martes lo utilizo y es una maravilla soy médico y lo probé incluso para descansar boca abajo incluso dormir está muy fisiológico tiene una abertura por abajo donde permite la ventilación y evita que la persona se sienta con falta de aire LO RECOMIENDO AMPLIAMENTE

It's really comfy and perfect for massages (if you have a narrower head), but there's a 90% sound reduction if the person being massaged tries to speak, so they'll need to raise their voice or turn to the side a little!
